Tried Salted Pilchards bait for the first time. Awesome bait for surf beach fishing. Screaming reel, and fresh fish for a cook up. Happy days!

As a UK beach fisherman I really loved this video. I can really identify with fishing the surf in the same way I like to fish the beaches in the UK and Ireland. The cooking looked pretty good too! Best regards Gordon.

Great video once again, Steve. 👍 I went out again on Friday and caught a whole bunch of medium size Salmon. Also lost a monster. Was fishing with a metal lure, had a very strong bite that immediately came off. When the lure came out I noticed that the treble- hook has been reduced to a dual- hook!!! 😱 I also made your "Potato Cakes" of a few videos back, they turned out *Great* , thanks mate! 😊

Oh mate broke your treble, really? I've bent them, never broken one. I usually change the trebles on my lures to better quality ones straight away now days. How good are the potato cakes!!!.. lol Thanks Johan 👍

@@SteveOutside Good idea, I think I will also upgrade the hooks.

The ever changing moods of the 90mile beach……nice session right there Steve. As usual, the cook up was sensational.

No doubt it's always been like this. But it just seems a little worse for the last 6 months or so. Or maybe I'm just getting a little too grumpy now days...lol Cheers Mark 👍

Rays are fun to haul in. The big ones are mad fun but such a pain in the ass. Up to a point I'm game to get my rig back. But when they get too big I just cut the line or snap off. Bye, bye rig. A win if you can save the leader though.

That star sinker is meant to sink in the sand..by adding the 2nd sinker u are defeating the purpose. Use a grapnel sinker..shud work in those conditions

did you eat fish on the same day? or did you freeze it overnight? some people say too freeze it first ??
@SteveOutside8 ай бұрын
Yes I ate it the same day. Australian Salmon is always best eaten the same day. Even moments after bleeding it.

Well I tell ya, after this one.. me too! I think years ago when I started fishing we didn't know to bleed them, or how to look after them properly. This one is really quality meat! I've definitely changed my thinking now. Thanks heaps Adz... loved your Mallacoota/ road trip vids 👌

It cant be that nice of fish to need all that crap all over it over powering the fish flavor

@@dustinfrost5214 It doesn't 'need' all that crap on it... I just choose to put it on.

WOAH SteveO. That was a great catch. Mate; I thought I'd let you know that if your lap top died, you can still have the hard drive searched and the content saved. I don't know if you still have that lap top but it would be worth asking a computer expert. Many years ago, I had my computer die on me and I was able to extract all or 90% of the information from my Hard Drive. Worth a shot mate.
@SteveOutside8 ай бұрын
Thanks Angus.. Yeah I did that, and retrieved a lot of the stuff.. but not all. That's computers for you.. I've had heaps of them crash over the years. I back up everything on external hard drive now days.
