My kids are the same! They thrive off having schedules and they have a checklist of what needs to get done daily, this helps them stay on track and know whats expected of them. As always your tips are so helpful and appreciated. I hope your family is having a great year so far Lauren!

Thank you! I appreciate the tips and the encouragement. This is my 14th year of home schooling. For me personally it's emotionally and mentally challenging to start up I want to hang on to summer as long as possible. My girls do independent study as much as possible and I consider Myself to be more of their tutor for their difficult subjects.

@@thepracticalhomeschooler Thank you! Definitely by God's grace. I home schooled my son for 5 years then he went to private Christian school. After that I home schooled both of my girls now going into 7th and 8th. I didn't want to do it in the beginning and my husband forced me to LOL

I love your planning methods!! So simple and practical! Some of the more complicated plans like "reverse planning" have never made much sense to me. 😂

Are you able to share the templates you used?

We are the same way. I just check in now and then to make sure we are on track to finish around the time I want and we finish our books unless we did a curriculum switch because it wasn’t working.

I’m getting ready to start our first homeschool year and I’ve loved your videos! Thank you so much! I was wondering what you do with their individual daily schedule pages? Do they have a binder or folder, pinned to the wall?
@thepracticalhomeschooler Жыл бұрын
I will laminate them once we know we don’t need to make adjustments (page protectors until then), and then they keep them with their textbooks.

Love your planning tips. We have moved our entire district to a 4-day work week. What are you thoughts on a 4-day work week? Have you tried it?
@thepracticalhomeschooler Жыл бұрын
I’d love to do a 4 day week. We do 4 regular days and then Friday is always a lighter day and we usually do a fun outing that day too

Love it! Simple and effective. Do you use creative fabrica to create your printed schedules?

For those, I’ve always used canva. But CF does have some really cute homeschool planners that are part of the teacher club card.
