Atlee has not only exceeded expectations but also settled the age-old debate about the greatest entry scene and interval block in Bollywood. Atlee introduces us to a never-before-seen avatar of SRK, which is an absolute delight for devoted SRK fans like myself and enthusiasts of mass cinema. Vikram Rathore emerges as the quintessential modern-day Bollywood mass character, with SRK effortlessly exuding swag and charisma that had the entire theater erupting in whistles, cheers, and hoots throughout the runtime.

As a Tamilian, this film was a blend of ten odd films & their highlights that we’ve already seen & loved. Nothing radical. I kept going- “Aah this portion is from this flick” throughout the movie which dampened the experience for me. But for North Indians who haven’t watched many Tamil flicks, I can see how this would seem spectacular.

Could be, but I loved it especially after Pathan which was like a below average film for me. I wasn't having high hopes anyway. In the first scene I thought it is a negotiation movie so when it didn't turn out that I was happy! Everything was average, i agree. But I completely loved Vikram Rathore's entry with that music. I thought they were making some new universe with this too and was expecting Salman or someone else to come 😂. So was pleasantly surprised with SRK. I thought Azad wasn't good with emotional portions, like I didn't connect with his bond for either the daughter or Nayantara. But felt most for Vikram's character, he felt fearless and badass. I think they could have tried to flesh it out a bit better, it was too long with too many chopped storylines. Would have prefered a well made one part with more details. Like money heist, an entire season on just one heist was so interesting. But this was a lot superficial. I think in bollywood everyone acted well is a huge plus and the movie had some storyline unlike most action movies. This reminded me of the movie Wednesday, it just went to gym and became a Superstar😂😂 Way better than Pathaan so❤❤

@@TriedRefusedProductionsBro, are you trying to please people for money? or the producers have bought your honesty? That movie was trash. So bad that I want to forget it. I went to watch it after all the positive reviews including yours and because I'm a SRK fan but I was so disappointed. I was waiting for the movie to get better from the beginning, but it kept getting worse. It's the same South Indian masala formula film. Stupidly sentimental, bad humor (I laughed harder at the absurdity and SRK's overacting and expressions), cringey as hell. People had began calling out such bad movies like KGF, Radhe etc. and I was happy that honest reviewers like you are not afraid to speak the truth but that's all lost now. Indians only deserve these mindless masala movies, all the best to us all.

As an SRK fan this movie, it's just what I wanted. I went with college friends in a packed theater and I was not disappointed. Only bad thing about this movie has to the editing. I'll be honest with you jammy. You mentioned - "tamil directors have been doing this for years with their stars ". We're pretty much starting to get sick of it which is why young creators like lokesh kanagaraj, Mari Selvaraj, Nelson etc have become huge names with only a few movies in their filmography. Mass is ok but only mass isn't good. I've seen die hard fandoms of Vijay, Ajith, rajnikanth etc starting to criticize mass. And that criticism is only increasing albeit slowly. Although mass films are garnering huge numbers, critically fans aren't exactly going gaga over them . I see this as a welcome change. We shouldn't abandon mass altogether but use it to further elevate a solid story and screenplay.

Atlee mixed his own Theri + Mersal + Bigil. Filtered out unwanted parts. Put it out in a typical south action film template. Atlee as usual went unhinged on visuals and slomo shots. Anirudh songs were good, but he's the master of bgm Vikram, Jailer and Jawan- 3 consecutive wins. Action scenes were well choreographed. Pretty much the usual Atlee- Vijay combo film but with a much charismatic SRK in lead this time. This is definitely Bollywood's first mass masala action film. The south indian film sensibilities worked like a charm for King Khan❤ and Atlee, thanks for the not-so-convoluted yet tight screenplay. Though I did leave the cinema thinking this was Mersal+Theri+Bigil but with a bigger, better punch. King Khan is back better in this than Pathaan.

Loved every avatar of SRK in this film and I look forward to your separate video about it. He has played such wide range of characters so far and beyond being the king of romance but widely remembered only for it. Difficult to ignore it of course. That said, the storyline of Jawan was fully-packed and quite overwhelming as even a sneeze would have been an interruption as an audience. I wish the songs were limited to being background tracks or used only as part of promotions as the film could have still stood on the story alone.

Jawan is on track to shatter the box office, potentially crossing 1000 crores comfortably during its run. For the North Indian audience, it'll be a novel experience. However, in the South, similar movies have come before, so it might be a bit familiar to some. It's commendable to see North Indians acknowledging this film. Despite a few cringe moments, other elements in the movie balance it out. I'd recommend watching it in its native language. I caught the Hindi version on its first day, first show this morning, and while comiyback overheard some disappointed feedback from those who saw dubbed versions. Coincidentally, I just opened your channel, and you uploaded a video seconds ago! Immediately clicked on it.

Im confused whether to check this out in Hindi or Tamil. I want to hear the protagonist's original voice at the very least, so I guess it has to be hindi. That was the reason why I saw KGF in kannada and put up with Sanjay Dutt's dub. But hey I'm in Chennai right now, so I also want the crazy crowd experience, then it has to be Tamil. I know what I would say would have no impact on many others commenting here. There were only underwhelming aspects in the film. The film fails to make any point. The film showcases social issues, as you mentioned, in a very half baked manner. The resolution of the situation were done as if Vijay Sethupathy had the 40,000 crore in his savings bank account, idle, not put to any use, done!! And how the hell does the loan get repaid, without any formalities from the borrower and bank's side? Foreclosure formalities RIP! Health Care issues were fixed in 5 hours as if the amenities were just waiting outside the hospital for getting dispatched. The weapon dealer story?? The Indian Army accepts weapon consignment from a dealer who is a criminal? Who is a Joker. Comes to Army court wearing sweatshirt? And justifies weapon failure saying, foreign language me likha tha, iss liye operate nahi kar paye?? All his guns fails to operate together?? As if they were programmed not to function after that time!! And even after 35 years his pistols do not work. And he was the 4th largest weapon dealer in the world??😂 what was the point atlee wanted to make? Old SRK breaking bones? Ok then a different story would have been enough. Correct me if I am wrong, Gabbar is Back movie in 2015 has already done the social messaging earlier and in a far more convincing way. Jawan seemed to me a costly, ill directed, I'll executed version of Gabbar with an additional Father Son story. The father son story also doesn't make any impact.

Good action pieces-especially the truck chase.Underwhelming conclusion. Atlee's signature story style -backstory, multiple roles for leads and epic elevations for SRK. Slightly worried of the story line/revenge arc tying back to Vijay’s character but solutions or conclusion for social problems don’t have conviction. Run time only felt jarring in the first half-otherwise a great entertainer. Loved SRKs cheekiness in every role. Everyone plays their part well. Deepika is exceptional in her scenes. Vijay anna and SRK sir's interactions are chefs kiss. BG Music lends very nicely, can't say the same for all songs.

The message is good - in the south we’re used to seeing movies with social message and anti-establishment…so coming from that point of view, the first half was really good, second half dragged a bit too much and seemed messy in terms of script and frankly, SRK could have acted better (again, this is based on the numerous south movies we’ve seen in similar subjects portrayed by actors such as Vikram, Vijay, Kamal, Rajni, Ajith etc) But definitely a breath of fresh air for the north!

Atlee is a smart filmmaker, even though he takes bits and pieces from other films, the film in itself remains very original. He does it by making the film self aware, before people could compare with Lion King, he himself addresses it. The references to Matrix, Bahubali, Khalnayak, Batman etc felt well placed. I love a film with references to other films, tells you that the makers are aware of these similarities and they are owning them.

Unnecessary songs, Beefed up plot armor, melodramatic dialogues, Convenient coincidences, and ohh soo freaking dragged! Here are my two cents on the Movie: Was really looking forward to the movie because SRK is doing this genre for the first time ever, hence I was really curious Positives: SRK is presented in a larger than life avatar in a manner never done before. So it felt delightful and really good. Action no doubt was good but I felt sometimes it was just too hard to follow because of the angles chosen and pace of camera movement (maybe it didn't translate well into IMAX), so it could be a personal issue rather I think that was all about it The movie apart from the positives felt too stuffed like a Buffet. Atlee tried to focus on so many things that it ended up being a crumbled mess to be honest. Things were moving so quickly that none of the plot points felt genuine or organic. The transition to sub plots felt immature and out of the blue. Scenes which should've had an emotional impact made me feel nothing to be honest The love angle was so rushed. One minute they're in love, the other minute they're getting married and then abruptly we cut to the betrayal. Everything was so rushed. Vijay Sethupathi never felt menacing. Not one of his finest works. After the way SRK was built up, he clearly lacked a menacing foe to go toe to toe with. I feel the action sequence of the climax could've been a bit longer imo. The other avatar of SRK was introduced amazingly well in the interval but then in the 2nd half in the present timeline appeared more dyslexic to me than amnesiac. Had no resemblance of sorts with the same character portrayed in the past timeline. The movie I felt lacked a lot of focus and this impacted the smoothness of the movie overall. When you try to achieve everything, you end up with nothing. This could have been a much better mass movie had there been some focus and a better screenplay to tone down the pace for the audience to settle down and feel organically about something at least. When you have so many characters, you don't feel for anyone. Even Nayanthara faded to irrelevance in the 2nd half. Priyamani's emotional scene towards the climax should've had an impact but it didn't for obvious reasons. In the end, it's an SRK movie for SRK fans. Atlee overall disappointed me.

Some questions exposing the terrible direction by Atlee: 1. Why would a female cop sing like that for any terrorist in the world? 2. Finance 101: The interest rate is higher due to higher risk 3. A Tractor is worth few lakhs so why was it not worth 40K for the loan sharks? 4. Nobody and nobody recorded VR & his team on phone in the metro? 5. All 6 girls were fat and high class make up & haircut in jail.. no one noticed odd ones out? 6. What was motive of Ajad to marry Nayanthara's character? 7. Where did the 6th bike come on the highway when VR blasted a truck using his? 8. How come EV machine theft was pre-planned and at some time not? 9. Land mines need at least human weight(>40KG)to blow up 10. Why was VR hands not tied in climax when VS brought him into the Jail premise? And many more...

Additional question(s): -how did SRK’s double role (father) character survive after getting stabbed and thrown off a chopper? -all the 6 girls had a backstory but only 3/6 stories were shown, sometimes the girls were in frame only for a few split seconds and disappeared . It was like in and out . -the lady who was playing the role of SRK’s supposed mother , didn’t look old at all despite all the make up that was done on her. When SRK was marrying Nayantara they showed his mother for a few seconds and beside her was a man who seemed like her husband but there was no backstory to that as well -the acting was a lil off (villain)

For people who are celebrating jawan as a success in Bollywood , I’d like to say remember Bollywood used to be way better , atlee is dropping the hammering the last number of nails on the coffin . Take atlee and never send him back . Kollywood great escape ! Cinema is way beyond copying , it’s an art this guy is screwing up.

Only thing I found wrong about in this film is its objective in storytelling...do you really think emotionally scenes were apt so sorry for they were awefully put their like prices .and that ending..they did not even care to explain character depths I only rooted for srk I felt it was just made for srk and entertainment..storywise it was garbage..they did not show origin of villain struggles of becoming hero..so 😢

Jawan is one boring and underwhelming many times seen movie. Forced emotions and lack of focus as to what they wanted to convey as a story as it was proceeding. Except hero elevations and slow motion which Atlee does a lot. At least here it was way more less slow motion than his previous Bigil which was another below average movie. Mufasa and Simba and many such cringe dialogues. The relationships had a lot of potential for drama and emotion, but wasted them by just speeding it. Poorly written and lazy writing. Vijay Sethupathy's character as a anti-protagonist is the worst written character. Baap SRK portion was just lame. Atlee copied from his own movies and SSR's Bahubali scenes.

There is honestly so many things going on in this movie with each character having a back-story and the movie just conveniently rushing through everyone's story line. Honestly, I could not connect with any character's including both the SRK's character (SRK did phenomenal), but movie's plot, direction and character progression, nothing made me feel or care for anything in the movie. Not a fan of the story or direction.

Just watched the film and definitely over hyped film, atlee always disappoints in story telling by rushing scenes and abruptly cutting it, I got too pumped when saw SRK in the warrior avatar in first intro scene but from the moment when SRK says in the beginning who am I ? and the child stands up and promises to find when he grows up is such a bizarre choice to cut it so short and after that many many more such scenes, I wonder if ever Atlee will realize how cranky his screenplay and story narration is... The only and the best part stood out was SRK's screen presence(NOT the acting FYI SRK is one of the greatest actors if a capable director can draw that out on screen) rest can be forgettable and usual from Atlee(for god sake Atlee should quit directing if he is always going to have same actor play different roles in same movie it's annoying now). Just above average film just as Pushpa 1. One time watch for sure...
