What’s the reason of running the pints under hot water?as in prior to mixing
@angelplascencia6716
@angelplascencia6716 25 күн бұрын
@HenryAng-ev1rj so that whatever you put in the pint isn't too frozen and damages your machine. It's better to thaw it out a bit before putting it in your machine to make sure you're blades aren't damaged and your ice cream comes out smooth and with minimum ice crystals

Powdered sugar also has a bit of corn starch which i don't like but it will nicely thicken your liquids a bit so, there's positives and negatives to it. To me it tastes grainy. Id prefer to add a spoonful of water and microwave the sugar and water mixture for a minute to melt them into a syrup. Just make sure it doesn't get too hot.

Thanks for this comment. I just bought mine last week, and the second flavor entries to make was vanilla ice cream. I had that film in my mouth and wondered why. Plus, the consistently was off. Different models come with different amounts of pints. Some refurbished come with no pints, some come with 2, some with 3, and mine bought on QVC came with 5. There are a lot of groups that share tips and recipes on Facebook for various diets. Keto ice cream, low carb, full fat recipes, UK ingredients...natural ingredients etc. Thank you for mentioning to not use plastic bags. Do the math on them too. Bags are not free. If you make dozens of pints per month like me the cost of bags can add up and eventually you will pay more in bags than you would have just by buying a 4 pack of extra pints. One tip on not ending up with a hump in the middle is if you freeze them overnight without a lid they rarely get a large hump in the middle. I do this now and add the lid in the morning to keep them fresh. Great tips. Thanks for the video. The Ninja Creami is the best ice cream maker I have ever owned.

It says right in the booklet “If your freezer is set to a very cold temperature, the ice cream/gelato may look crumbly. If this occurs, select re-spin to process the mixture a little bit more.” I don’t mean this to be rude - I _really_ don’t - but some of these ”problems” could easily be avoided if people would just pay closer attention to the instructions…
@iampaulzy

I have a Ninja Blender/Food processor system with blender cups. I just mix all of the ingredients on low for about 15 seconds then pour it into the Ninja Creami pint containers. Easy peasy, everything is mixed thoroughly. I just got my Ninja Creami 11-N-1, so I take them out of the freezer tonight to see how they turned out. I'll let them sit out for 10 minutes first before using my Ninja Creami. I'm excited to see the results. One was made the regular way with Cocoa Powder, the other was made with Cookies and Cream Whey protein mixed with Almond milk.

I too have a tiny kitchen - replete with 3/4-sized major appliances (i.e. 16 cu ft fridge, 24 in range, 18 in dishwasher). With small appliances, well ... we just cannot run out and get everything, for sure. However, if you can (and do) use it frequently it will be worth the purchase and the space. As keto ice creams are expensive and not all that good while only being high in calories in the marketplace, there is a return on the investment for me. I can have ice cream fairly often if the pint is less than 200 calories or if using a meal replacement shake base. Obviously, if you're not going to use it, then it's not worth either.

Your Ninja Creami videos are so helpful! You have convinced me to get one. (I'm still thinking about which model I want.) I have a question/video suggestion: I like smooth ice cream, so the hard mix-in options don't appeal to me. But I love swirled ice creams - like say swirled with chocolate sauce or caramel sauce. My idea is: can you test using a soft mix-in (like say a thick chocolate sauce) to see how that would work? Or maybe I'm just being silly and I should just hand-mix/swirl those soft/liquid-y types of add-ins myself?

Definitely agree to get more containers! However, the recipe book is utterly useless for keto (strict, dirty or clean). None of the recipes entirely use a non-caloric sweetener, its a blend of cane sugar and/or agave nectar along with something else for their "lite" versions. None of them use protein powders or whole egg bases. The various alternate sweeteners all behave differently for the various bases, which all alter the amount of flavoring or any gums and fibers. Fortunately, most batches can be salvaged by adding additional flavorings and sweetener at re-spin when trying to figure this out. I would suggest to not fill to the max fill line until you know how your mix may spin as some fluff up and crawl up the driver shaft while others make deep well with the mix clinging to the inside perimeter for the whole container. If you are an ice cream lover who wants to have a very low carb (< 6g net) and sometimes very low calorie (about 150) almost pint in one go; alternatively lower protein higher fat/calories while still low carb - this is the appliance to do it. You just have to laboriously find different recipes on line or make your own expensive mistakes.

I tried vanilla ice cream and it was crumbly even after a respin. I did it like the directions said and it came out wrong.

I defrost it, make it flat, and still have issues with blade falling off or getting knocked off. I’ve already had to use the warranty. They sent me a whole new machine and I had buy a new blade. Ive been even more careful, making sure everything is perfect(which has increased my prep time) and still the blade gives me problems.

I have a question you mentioned that the base has to be hugging the pint when processing. But won’t leave it to thaw cause the sites to melt?? I recently experienced my ninja creamy breeze breaking I’m just asking so I don’t need to get another replacement

I want one... but the fact that we must blend the ingredients before we blend them in the creami is crazy! lol

Well otherwise you wouldn't have an emulsion, which is necessary to suspend the fat globules in ice cream

Well, it's not a blender so I do get the extra step. If you were to make "real" ice cream in an ice cream maker, you'd have to do the same as well as cook and cool a base. I think there's obviously several steps that we may not be "used" to, but overall it makes a fantastic product really easily.

I bought this machine and used it to make 2 pints. Both times the ice cream was very hard and frozen. It did not taste good at all. Should I freeze it for less than 24 hours?

No, I'd respin! In my experience, you need to respin like 2-4 times to get the best texture!

got one this week, used it today, but i had a problem, where the lid, or better said the knife wasn‘t coming of the shaft. has anyone experienced the same and knows why? i thought maybe the knife gets too cold and freezes onto the shaft, because after waiting some time, i was able to pull it off

Hey I don't understand. All of the KZbin ninja people like you show the pint very full to the top, but when I make ice cream and stick to the fill line, the pint has a huge hole in the middle and most of the ice cream around the sides. So it turns out to be much less than a complete pint up to the top. How do you make that happen? Are you combining more than 1 pint for the video?

one question: if you use some sort of emulgator like icreampowder and then get it to a nice texture if you then refreeze it will the texture still be creamy or do you need another spin

I use an amazing ice cream base recipe that has cremodan 30 in it. I rarely have to do a respin. Only for certain flavors, like huitlacoche. But even then, they always come out perfect after a respin!

In my experience, I always have to respin once or twice to get the perfect texture. Not sure on the powder.

My just not working. The blade and everything I readjusted. And thaw the ice cream when I set in everything. Click the button when it starts just noises, but filling just won't mix!! I checked it with my flashlight when it was still processing, the blade work. But not exactly the way you show. 1st, I thought maybe i did not fill up full enough? But I saw some ppl never fill that much and still work. What went wrong?

how do you clean the shaft that goes down in the ice cream after it goes back inside the machine? i see posts of people saying they can see drippings come out, and when they fill it was warm water the water turns dirty after one pass. gross! gross! gross!
