I had a trifling woman. Had to get her gone from me. Got a good one lady now.

Thanks to you sir, I learned to make a banjo and finished making five mountain banjos in the past 6 or 7 months though I am to learn to play one. Stay blessed Sir!

Clifton I always smile hearing you play frettless banjo. Musically you and me are exactly the same in how we learn. I learn only by ear. And I am a traditional banjo player like what you are doing here. Keep going sir very proud of your efforts! We will be keep the traditional ways going sir!

they look like nylgut strings. I love Proffitt too and would love to play more of his tunes. I do play Ol Abe, Tom Dooley and will the circle be unbroken. But I love Bo Lamkins and WIld Bill Jones but don't know what to do with them.

FYI, for those wondering about the "string wobble", it really has more to do with camera settings than anything. It depends on how many frames per second the camera is set at in relation to the frequency at which the strings are vibrating. It doesn't necessarily mean that a low tuning causes the "wobbling" effect, but you can certainly see it more with nylon/gut/nylgut strings because of the relative frequencies vs. FPS.

Really want to learn to play this instrument. I don't need a big bluegrass banjo...just something to get that traditional sound. Thanks so much for sharing! Love your lessons. Hope you got your bug juice on! Ticks are bad this year's and that long grass can harbor those nasty chiggers. Love your channel. Keep up the wonderful content if possible 💙

I love your whole channel and vibe! Do you learn a all of your songs by ear since you say you get a lot of them from old records? I only have a banjolele but I'd love to learn more of this style of music.
