In modern wester military doctrine friendly fire prevention is done with direct fire control measures such as TRPs (target reference points), MELs(maximum line of engagement), DZs and SDZs (danger zones and sabot danger zones for tanks). The western indirect fire doctrine is based on precision fires, with as little collateral damage and fewest rounds per target. Eastern and Russian doctrine on the other hand relies on massing fires with much less regard for collateral and friendly fire, both for direct and indirect fires. Even though doctrine had advanced since WWII, you can still see the culture of different peoples shine through in their tactics. If you've got a lot of guys, you use lots if guys. This podcast just gets better and better. But I must make a few points... 1) Everybody Loves Raymond is a nice, old-school comedy, and I really enjoy it. It's not edgy or alternative at all, but it makes me smile, so it's OK in my opinion. 2) Big Bang Theory is awful, thanks Lewis. 3) The best daytime TV show ever was Gilmore Girls. Man, it was so fucking adorable. Great show, great characters, nice setting, a little drama and a lot of good feels. 4) Sips' flower smelling story is the highlight of the entire podcast so far! P.S. Lewis is clearly a dirty Brexiteer. Fair enough, though.
