They're using jail and prison interchangeably which they shouldn't be. In America generally a jail sentence is less than 1 year and isn't in the same building as a prison. Unless, iirc, you're being sentenced federally.
@rc_player3 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Also, Pyrion's statement that 'it's very likely you will go to jail at some point' (21:23) is WILDLY inaccurate. Jane/John Doe driving down the street living an average life are almost never going to end up incarcerated in the US.
@Fatalismic3 жыл бұрын
@@rc_player I'm some random white kid that got drunk and pushed someone in college and I went to jail for 6 months. Ultimately the American justice system is not helping reprogram criminals but rather reinforce their negative behavior. Regardless of jail or prison, got transferred to both.

pyrion is talking like going to prison is unavoidable in the US because we have 2 million people in prison thats less than 1% of the population....still quite a lot but i think pyrion watches too many movies or something because prison is very avoidable here going to jail or fines or whatnot however is a different story
@rc_player3 жыл бұрын
Exactly, does he not know we have a population of 250+ million? 2 million is definitely high for a first-world country, no doubt, but he acts like prison is a fact of life here. I definitely think TV/movies has skewed his views on the US a bit.

Right, either ignore it or get a Ring doorbell so you can see if it's worth getting up for.
