As someone who has been trapped in the same (machine shop) job for 10 years, sips absolutely nailed it. As such, I have FAR more experience than anyone on my shift, turn around and I'm making less than new hires who know NOTHING about the job. Any other shop is a side step where I'd be stuck on rotating shifts or mandatory over time. But sips is right, I should get out, and just view every job as temporary...
