That turnips thing happens to me all the time. When people make jokes like that I don’t get it because it doesn’t sound absurd enough. Like, it a vege shop. Maybe someone picked the order and then went to label the box and they accidentally put the label on a box of turnips. It’s a reasonable mistake that someone could have made. If I was making that joke as the shop owner, I’d go full absurd so it’s obvious I’m kidding, like, “oh damn, sorry this is the box of solid gold I keep in the back, oh well, has your name on it!” (Bad joke off the top of my head, but point is, it’s obviously made up, its not like “oh no this vegetable shop has given you the wrong vegetable, how wILD and CrAZY!”)

For how old Sips and Pyrion are it surprises me they don't like the "life is like a box of chocolates" phrase. It is outdated now but back in the day you could buy a box of chocolate that just said "assorted chocolates" and they are all vaguely square shaped chocolates that contained different fillings. Nowadays when you get the boxes they list the chocolates with pictures and their flavors but it wasn't always like that.
