Rise: I just put in my first aftermarket trigger. It was $99, shipped to my door. Super easy to install. What a pleasure to shoot. There was no creep and the trigger barely moved before firing. They say that to really shoot well, your trigger pull must be such that you don't know when it is going to fire. That is the way the Rise is. There is no thoughts of "Is it going to fire now", repeating in your brain before it actually fires. The first time I pulled the trigger, it just went off so smoothly that it surprised me and it kept surprising me until after about ten shots. My brain no longer had to think about it. Now all my concentration could center on just holding the sight picture. I have an out of the box, Armalite, AR-15 and I use a $20, off Ebay, Chinese, red dot scope. My shooting range is 91 yards long and with the Rise I am shooting 1" MOA, 5 round groups. This is from a standing, leaning against a tree, position. I thought, "Why would anyone pay $300 for a trigger when you can buy the Rise for $99. My friend, who builds his own AR's, was the one who told me to get the Rise. I have never fired a gun with a $300 trigger, so I can't say if the extra expense is worth it but I can say that the Rise is a lot of trigger for a little money. You do the math.

I have the Geissele SD-E on my DDM4 and I put the Larue MBT on my PSA PA-10. The Geissele is phenomenal and 2nd stage breaks at 1.25 lbs. The MBT is good but heavier, not a bad thing but when I got used to the SD-E, it’s hard to beat. Good review! New options to look at!

Great video and why in the Hell you don't have more subscribers is beyond me. I've been shooting for about 46 years, mainly long guns as in shotgun and bolt guns. Then moved onto handguns in '93 and never desired an AR until the Sandy Hook deal and any time there's a threat from the government to take away or tell me I can't do or own something that is Constitutional I revolt. Just like when Clinton said in the early 90s he was doing the 10 round magazine ban, I went the next day and bought an Italian Beretta 92FS in stainless and a shit ton of mags and I still have that super accurate handgun. But after Sandy Hook I spent months researching each individual spring, pin, and component of the AR platform and I built my own. It has stuff from Spike's, Seekins, Larue, PSA, BCM, Wilson Combat, Sprinco, B5 Systems, Geissele, Midwest Industries, Red Jacket, among others. I probably couldn't sell it for $700 even though I have twice that much in the build. I shoot with several friends and would choose mine over them all, not just because it's the research and my build, etc. just because it's way more perfect for me in my opinion. Anyways, what I'm getting at is you are very detailed and do a great job reviewing in this video and I wish you would make many more. Just wanted to take the time and personally thank you. God Bless and keep up the great work.

if you want a great trigger but dont want to go for the most expensive option in this video triggertech also makes like 3 other cheaper offerings. the first is a set weight "combat" style trigger advertised at 5.5 lbs, the next is a competition style trigger set at 3.5 lbs, and finally like the diamond trigger is an adjustable/adaptable trigger that can be set between 2.5 - 5 lbs. Theyre all a fair margin cheaper than the diamond shown in this video but are still excellent, ive got the adjustable 2.5 - 5 pound trigger which is one step down in price from the diamond and i love it, ive tried the other ones and theyre great too just not adjustable.

I love it. I definitely have it set more for speed than precision stuff. It has such a short reset and light pull that my 3gun times have increased a lot. For precision and long range I still prefer the Giessle National Match, I actually have 2 now. It has a more pronounced second stage which is what I prefer in that scenario.

Nice job detailing your trigger setups.. as I'm getting ready to build my first AR-15, and am still up in the air about which trigger system to get. All I hear around the interwebz is nothing but good things about the Geissele triggers, and it's kinda peaked my interest in really getting one. Now, when it comes to AR's, I am a novice.. not going to sit here and lie about any of that. But should I even be considering buying a Geissele trigger for my first build? Or should I be thinking about something a little lower-end.. I'm thinking future-proofing for the build, as well. I don't want to go all out on my first build, but at the same time, I do want quality parts.. Just don't want to have to buy 'cheap' parts and regret it later.

For safeties I have moved most of my rifles over to the Radian Talon. I like that it has the long/short combo and the 45 degree throw. As for the AR Gold trigger, I have tried them out before and they are phenomenal. Very short reset, smoothe pull, clean break, and adjustable to your preferred weight. I would say that I like the Triggertech a little more, but that is because I am able to adjust the weight down lower.

How would you compare the rest on the TT Diamond to the Hyperfire Hipertouch Comp? I've heard that some people complain that the TT Diamond doesn't force your finger forward as much and is too light of a reset. What is your experience? Also between the two which do you find to be the most reliable?
@pappytspewsnthings4588
@pappytspewsnthings4588 5 жыл бұрын
Good question and I should have addressed it in the vid, but let's be honest, the vid ended up too long anyway. The reset is very very light with almost no forward pressure. This hasn't been a problem for me because the reset is stupid short. I ran the hyperfire exclusively for 3 years before switching to this and have had no problems at all, but everyone is different. Based on feel, I would say that the TT feels like a shorter reset than the 24C, but I haven't actually measured it. I ran it on my gun at Benning last month and it handled the rain, dirt, and mud with no issues. I really appreciated the 2 stage aspect during the long range shots, and during the rapid fire portion it felt just like a single stage due to it being set to just over a pound. I even pulled a top 10 finish in Tac ops on the rifle only stage. Thank you for your question and let me know if you have any more!

I have adopted the HyperFire Hyper Touch 24C. No other Trigger can compare for the money. The “spaghetti” feeling??? I have never experienced that. Try moving the little red trigger adjustable add on or remove it. Yea yea yea Trigger Tech is as you said it, complicated. It Is only a bench trigger. Many experts say never take it into battle because it needs cleaning and care. Htperfire trigger system is a simple trigger designed to work under all conditions. second choice is a Geissele. Again not a drop in most people know nothing about, and don’t know how to fix or get the parts to repair. You may have to send it back and get it repaired. Dropins are finicky and for the bench. Been there done that. I don’t like things I cant fix or get parts to repair it. My Hypertouch triggers all pull around 3 pounds.All four. I don’t need a lighter pull than that. Like Jerry Miculek says: If your shooting is affected by its pull, you are not shooting fast enough.
