As much as having to appease the sponsors on this platform drives me nuts, I'm not really against the warning in this situation. Alot of people don't feel right about "outsiders" profiting in covering street shit. Which understandable, given the very serious nature of these videos. I feel like TLR works really hard to really dig into researching and making these as factual as possible, while treating the people involved with respect. So says most people, at least. I think that its easy to see that hes a fan of the music, for sure. Regardless on what people have to say about him. In my opinion, of course. On the other side of it, I know that some people close to the deceased, and maybe some guys that are still living take issue with Ross' vids for various reasons, some I spoke on in this comment. What they fail to realize that everything covered is public record, and in many cases, "self snitched" by those directly involved on their socials for clout

Not sure if you’ve done a video on Mac Dre, but if you haven’t please do. He’s one of the most fascinating cases in rap history. The man was immensely talented. He legit recorded his ENTIRE debut album from the FRESNO COUNTY JAIL over the phone in 92’. The lore behind his life is worth a deep dive. One of the best Gangster rappers of all time. The man was one of the leaders of a gang that robbed bank, and did his WHOLE 5 YEAR SENTENCE IN FEDERAL PRISON 10 TOES DOWN, never snitching despite being offered the chance to cut a deal to avoid prison. He was on a level 4 yard with the Mexican Mafia. The man was cutthroat. Mac Dre pioneered the Hyphy Movement and put the Bay Area on the map. He was ultimately killed by a rival in KC in 2004, in the midst of his prime. Had he not died he would’ve been BIGGER than E-40, Too-$hort, Keak Da Sneak, Andre Nickatona, Mistah Fab, and the other names in hip-hop from the bay. He died in 2004, and not even a year later in 2005 the Hyphy Movement he was at the forefront of EXPLODED with songs like E-40’s “Tell Me When to Go”, Keak Da Sneak’s “Hyphy”, and Mistah Fab’s “Super Sic Wit It”. The Bay Area went NATIONWIDE and took America by storm. He influenced BIG names in the game. Drake shouts him out in “The Motto”, G-Eazy shouts him out in “Calm Down”, on top of many more. His influence on rap and hip hop cannot be understated. He is a certified California legend and would probably be the most famous rapper to EVER come out of the bay if he was still with us. He’s been gone 20 years but you cannot go to a single club, wedding, or house party in California without hearing his songs. Check out “Feeling Myself”, “Since 84”, “Grown Sh*t”, “She Neva Seen”, “Get Stupid”, Early Retirement”, “Boss Tycoon” “Dipped When They See me”. The man’s discography is crazy. His lyrical ability is crazy, his humor was perfect. Give him a listen!

Yeah. racism has been everywhere, but it's time for black people to get their shit together and take responsibility and not always cry about racism. did you know that you are only doing the state a favor when you voluntarily kill each other. I don't see any other group causing as many problems as the blacks, for example, in Chicago. and I don't mean gang violence or crime in general, but the general destruction of places with piggies. every single time blacks are the only ones who destroy their own and other's living areas

This is a great and well documented video explaining the history of Chicago and its low end area in which I am and always will be proud to be from. This is probably the most relatable documentary you have done so far because I know so many of these people personally whether they are dead or alive, it’s really sad that young men and women inherit violence or participate in the genocidal effect of our own people and kill over blocks and neighborhoods they don’t even own SMH💔All of these areas in South Loop, Bronzeville, Woodlawn, Hyde Park, Washington Park, Grand Boulevard, etc and all over the city where these young people are warring at are well estsbmished areas now with high property taxes and not to mention, gentrification is at an all time high. This is gonna cause the wars to have a tremendous uproar because these people will be forced out of the low income and section 8 apartments and be forced to pay higher rent or buy properties they can’t afford which could possibly be in rival territories or in other gang territories that they aren’t even at war with which will cause new wars💯It’s all systematic oppression it’s been like this since the great migration and beforehand, CHA was always a design for the failure for impoverished Blacks. These youth need some investment ideas, some ways to make legitimate money instead of robbing,trapping & scamming, learning how to buy back this property that they dying on instead of shooting the communities up and renaming blocks that they gotta pay taxes for when they can OWN them and create generational wealth for their families. They also need to travel and understand it’s much more to the world instead of one block or one neighborhood,they just gotta make better choices have better parental control and allow people to provide them with opportunities to excel. R.I.P. to all🙏🏾Ima be the one to put the opportunities and the bag in the city to try to make a change in the city for the youth and the upcoming generation because as a Black man, this ain’t “Entertainment” to see our people dying for literally nothing and we got people from different cultures getting rich off of the ignorance and lack of self awareness and love we have for one another that leads to one another. I know we in the end times and it’s more evil than good, but before you pick up a gun and kill, ask yourself is it worth it? Are THEY worth it? What do I have to lose? Who else a putting in danger? Am I ready to lose my life in return? Do I wanna spend the rest of my life in prison? How is this gonna affect my loved ones? How can I resolve this before it turns deadly? We just gotta make a better way and reverse the cycle of death and destruction cause the government getting paid too much especially with these funeral homes, gun stores, hospitals and prisons🔑
@asabovesobelow59110 ай бұрын
I once saw a video clip of a black man in prison he had Hitl*r and the K*K*K Klansman tatted on him. He said the the black folks out here being violent with each other and who hate one another are the new K*K*K. That it's not the white man anymore. Yet you have people still wanting to blame the white man for their down falls. If anything it's all about the rich VS the Poor now a days. Look at all the rich black man who are able to get out of stuff like Kodak Black or Lil Wayne who was pardoned by Trump after his campaign got a million dollar donation from their lawyer.

I love this series! Teaches us so much about the dangers of the street life and the stuff people had to do for music. Could you please do an episode about Vlvd as well? I'm really curious 'bout his story, heard the guy bought in hundreds of albanians to sell dope for him, but couldn't be convicted cause they all refused to testify and police had to put up a Donnie Brasco-like operation to catch him. Never heard before 'bout a trapper who brought in people from other parts of the world for his gang, seems like a different story from what we're used to hearing. Also, all of his music seems to have vanished since he's locked up, I am really curious what could have happened there
