the killing of mr.grant shook me, i was fortunate enough to meet him back in 2016 at a freedom fund dinner held there in savannah. truly an amazing man. he fought and fought hard for the youth and was really truly a gentle soul. for the short time i spoke to him he created a huge impact on me, he told me about the trades and how much money could be made, and told me to stay away from these gangs. he's the reason why i'm chasing to be an electrician. I'll never forget him.

Electrician is the way to go. You've made a great choice. Don't stop. Industrial electrician is the best (you have to be smart and troubleshoot equipment), but if you have to go IBEW, do that then change. Don't stay IBEW. If you are a minority, then the IBEW will welcome you with open arms without an IQ test/qualifying exam (or they will ignore the results). If you are white, it's harder to get in. Depends on if the local needs more members. It's tightly regulated by the union local to keep everyone working. But if you are a minority, you can probably get in barely knowing your ABC's. I know, it's racist, right? But that's the way it is. Use it to your advantage. You can retire a multi-millionaire if you are willing to work and aren't stupid. If you are white and can't get in to your local, try another one. You'll have to move, of course.

Not sure if you’ve done a video on Mac Dre, but if you haven’t please do. He’s one of the most fascinating cases in rap history. The man was immensely talented. He legit recorded his ENTIRE debut album from the FRESNO COUNTY JAIL over the phone in 92’. The lore behind his life is worth a deep dive. One of the best Gangster rappers of all time. The man was one of the leaders of a gang that robbed bank, and did his WHOLE 5 YEAR SENTENCE IN FEDERAL PRISON 10 TOES DOWN, never snitching despite being offered the chance to cut a deal to avoid prison. He was on a level 4 yard with the Mexican Mafia. The man was cutthroat. Mac Dre pioneered the Hyphy Movement and put the Bay Area on the map. He was ultimately killed by a rival in KC in 2004, in the midst of his prime. Had he not died he would’ve been BIGGER than E-40, Too-$hort, Keak Da Sneak, Andre Nickatona, Mistah Fab, and the other names in hip-hop from the bay. He died in 2004, and not even a year later in 2005 the Hyphy Movement he was at the forefront of EXPLODED with songs like E-40’s “Tell Me When to Go”, Keak Da Sneak’s “Hyphy”, and Mistah Fab’s “Super Sic Wit It”. The Bay Area went NATIONWIDE and took America by storm. He influenced BIG names in the game. Drake shouts him out in “The Motto”, G-Eazy shouts him out in “Calm Down”, on top of many more. His influence on rap and hip hop cannot be understated. He is a certified California legend and would probably be the most famous rapper to EVER come out of the bay if he was still with us. He’s been gone 20 years but you cannot go to a single club, wedding, or house party in California without hearing his songs. Check out “Feeling Myself”, “Since 84”, “Grown Sh*t”, “She Neva Seen”, “Get Stupid”, Early Retirement”, “Boss Tycoon” “Dipped When They See me”. The man’s discography is crazy. His lyrical ability is crazy, his humor was perfect. Give him a listen!

Watching that mom say OTM was. "Family" was so sad. That's the problem. The adults make excuses. It's just like when these kids are killed, all we hear about is how they are good kids who never did anything wrong, little angels. No, they are gang members and killers. It seems to me that no supports the mass self genocide of young black kids more than the parents of the young black kids doing the killings. It makes me sad. I have such respect for those mean black mothers in the hood that dont let their kids off the porch. Those women are saving lives even if the kids dont know it at the time.

It is def sad ... it seems like people have so much outrage about police involved shootings and claim cops/white people want to wipe out young black men .... which to be fair is understandable... not that they want to wipe them out but police officers should be held accountable and racism is real and unarmed people do die from the police .... BUT I just wish the same anger and outrage was there for the gang violence and destruction that young dudes in the hood are causing.

I don't know how you can watch the conditions of Savannah in poverty and be angry at the black mothers doing anything to survive, most times ALONE. People will do anything to be able to survive in these environments and if that means paying for rent or for groceries with drug money then so be it. They are no worse than the rich people drug dealing through pharmaceutical companies. Maybe you should blame the history and long line of oppressors that keep these cities in poverty before you blame the people suffering.

Cities back in the 1980's and 90's that were truly dangerous and truly getting down never allowed LA gangs to come in and takeover like New Orleans, Detroit, Philly, Miami, DC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland and Richmond VA.. Some cities might've allowed them to come in after the year 2000 but even then they had no real push or power. And some sets were just randomly made by the locals and LA dudes had no real power over them.
