That “transabled” thing really pissed me off. It’s a total slap in the face to people who are actually disabled, like people who have fought for our country, people who were born with disabilities, people who were in bad accidents, etc. These transabled people can act like they have these disabilities to get advantages, like boarding a plane before everyone else and things like that. They have a mental illness. Obviously they're not all regular adjusted humans... who are looking to scam people. They're often doing some messed up shit to become legitimately disabled. It's "Body Integrity Identity Disorder", where people often don't feel right having a certain body part that feels foreign to them, so they try to amputate their leg and shit. It's wild stuff. It's not a slap to the face of anyone. It's a mental illness. That's like saying someone self harming due to mental illness, is a slap to the face of people who were harmed in similar ways via a dangerous job. Are they ALL legitimate? I'd say no (there is Factitious Disorder and the such, but that doesn't fit the general scenario here, it's a different thing)... but you write them all off so fast, whilst ignorantly judging them all. These are people who need help. Even if some are faking it for reasons, they still need help. Normal adjusted humans don't do that, so even for them, there's clearly something that needs addressing. Much like a person who cuts them self for reasons other than mental illness. Obviously there's still abnormal behaviour there that needs evaluating and helped.
