I loved this. An awful lot of eating going on but fun to watch. I cracked up at all the aside jokes. The head turn for one and the "staying up late" quips. I enjoyed this, brings back a lot of good memories I actually forgot about growing up and being a "free" teenager. I always have mixed feelings seeing places I've lived in. A person on vacation having fun or spending a summer is not faced with the realities of trying to survive and possibly raise a family in those towns. I still have contact with school friends who went through and even had covid in NYC. One thing I can say - every "America" sucks person has never taken a trip and traveled there. EVERY single person I know said the USA trip was the best trip they have ever had, especially those who bought a used car and drove across the country. At least in the past, I no longer know what the feeling is over there. I have lived on Berlin for over 30 years.

@min 4:15 the red building on the left is the puck bldg, where jared kushner and ivanka trump own an apartment. George carlins mother used to work there back in the 40s when they made puck magazine there, which was a mad magazine style satire magazine. David bowie lived in that wierd gray block you can see just behind it on top of the old red brick bldg. just behind it, out of view is the original St patricks, the 2nd catholic church ever in nyc, which burnt down in 1866 llikely by accident, but attributed to angry nativist protestants. the shiny new building on the right are new unaffordable high rises that replaced a gas station that cabs used to fill up at until 2017 when it was closed under that piece of shit deblasio to discourage driving in manhattan. Francis and Konstantin could have hired me as a tour guide. their loss.

Go to Jack Dempseys on W33 St. just South of Empire State, used to be the best bar for starting a night out. Once got into a debate on whether the British or American version of Coupling was better (it was 2004), with a bunch of Puerto Rican's, then had a Whisky vs Tequila drinking competition.....don't know who won. 😀

Why isn't there waaaay more talk of the new arrivals crossing the channel? This couldn't be any more serious. New PM and London Mayor very interesting people to have running things right now. I like these guys, however, how damn typical. They come to NYC and rely on their devices rather than experiencing the city raw. They don't look for real mom and pop shops. That said, NYC has become kind of dull and generic and interesting things are difficult to find. Had they contacted me, I would have showed them around. In that these two have a brain and are creative they should know better than to expect much from common tourist-style destinations.

Francis seems like an intense guy, in public. He comes across as someone who could be tickling and scratching a kitten or a puppy, one second, happily gushing about something in a restaurant, in another...then, in terms of simmering anger, could go from 0 to 100 in no seconds flat, just quietly boiling on the surface, ready to do a Patrick Bateman "performance". Kind of a kindred spirit.
