@@paulrichards6894 I think we have naturally occurring climate occurrences and it ebbs and flows with time- I have yet to see reasonable data/evidence to suggest civilization is expediting any global catastrophe, and there’s no evidence that says we’re having much of an impact in our daily lives. I don’t disagree that there are things we can do to keep the planet cleaner and safer, but this whackadoodle nonsense about climate change is causing snowstorms to be more intense/tornadoes to be more frequent/droughts more droughty/etc is insane. Then when they get on about 300k people die in poverty because climate change? Yeah I just can’t. I'd be similar in that I think we need to be cautious and try to limit my environmental impact but I find the deniers put forward far better arguments whereas the green movement constantly refuses to provide the sources for their figures and keeps moving the date for their apocalyptic prophecies, in almost any other cause this would mark them as a cult with no credibility. ☹ I get that some of them feel a need to shock and scare people into action but you can't repeatedly lie and then expect people to trust you in any way, including that your motives are moral as opposed to just being a grab for funding and power.
@aarronwilson5647 Жыл бұрын
That's because there isn't a compelling argument. What the crap is a climate denier? Do you mean climate change denier? The climate changes but human impact has little to no impact. Yet all they push is for destroying the fabric of society, taxing hard working people whilst contributing next to nothing themselves.

Side note: It's funny to see the other side of the coin of the "Morality Police" with people like that screechy lady. When I started getting into sociopolitics back in 2000, it was the right wing that where the powerful morality policing and the left wing were the moderates and vilified for being such. From about 2015 to now, it is the opposite. But I think the pendulum is slowly coming back to center again. I just wonder what the extreme righties (actual extreme, not "slightly Right of Communists") will do when they become the Morality Police once again. I know this is pessimistic, but I don't think the pendulum will ever stop on "rational."

@@MGame0042 Hold on. Do not compare the situation. From 2000 to 2003 it was NOT the right but the newcons. The vast majority of conservatives were not neocons. Secondly, conservatives and neocons NEVER went out of their way to hurt people's reputation or even hurt them physically. At the height of the stupidity of the war on terr0r some people had nasty reactions against Muslims but that was very localized - and in the minds of people the September 2001 events were very present. What is going on with the Far Left (the ideas of the Left ARE entirely from the far Left) is outrageous and has been going on for more than 6 years. People fired from jobs, scientists cut from Universities, public figures arrested and stripped from their positions, people shot in streets because they're MAGA or oppose rioters, people threatened with violence inside restaurants, people forced by companies to undergo diversity "seminars" (non compliance means you're out, HR don't allow any other course of action). From home invasion attempts to destruction of statues, from freezing high way traffic to destroying paintings in the Louvre - these activists from the far left are enabled and promoted for their actions. Absolutely no comparison between the 2000s and the all out insanity going on today. We are still colder than the average for the planet so we can expect to get warmer for a few years to come. as for the level of CO2 we are still very close to the level that would cause the planet to die, as once plants die then so do all other life forms! CO2 is currently at 420ppm, risen from 180ppm 180 years ago immediately prior to the industrial revolution! 150ppm is the tipping point for the survival of plants. The planets average ppm over the millennia is well over 2500ppm with known highs of in excess of 7000ppm. WE NEED TO INCREASE THE LEVEL OF CO2 NOT TRY AND REDUCE IT!

yeah thats one way to look at it, another way to look at it is she is making other peoples lives a misery for no reason, she is clearly a c... so if anyone deserves their life being made terrible its her, her approach to life seems to be to try and make anyone who disagrees with her lives terrible, thats more than just paranoia

The real question here is why the UK justice system fails totally to keep the population safe from these nutters. In fact it patronises and encourages them.
