Yes, you can use multisource with almost any entity except freaking momentary_rot_button and momentary_door. They just ignore their "master" field.

These videos are literally the best resource for anyone getting into earlier (jack)hammer mapping for goldsrc games. I started learning with that really long planet Philip video series which is a bit all over the place. Your videos are to the point with some solid visual/audible gags mixed in to keep me entertained. Please keep it up. You're doing god's work son.

Thanks to your tutorial (and the power of plagiarism via copy/pasting stuff from a map I decompiled from the game files), I've been able to make a working "hello world" map :) Are you planning on doing a tutorial for scripted sequences or going over the specifics of monsters? I'd love to be able to make scientists say and do silly things, or have enemies patrol specific routes.

Hello, could you help me with triggers? I started mapping for goldsrc with the help of your tutorials. I tried to make glass break after the player triggering the aaa wall triger. It all works, except the glass doesn't break, it just dissapears. (Smashing the glass with a crowbar makes it break perfectly like normal)

Name the func_breakable, then have the trigger_once trigger the name of the func_breakable. If that doesn't work, could you send me your map file?

How can i place models into my level in JACK? I looked up online and couldn't find how to do it

Well, it's a complicated question. With default half-life entities, you can put in a model using a cycler. twhl.info/wiki/page/cycler This entity is limited, however, because it'll cycle through animations & bleed if you hit it. Default Half-Life didn't really make use of models. You would need to use some kind of custom entity/custom modbase to make use of models in a more efficient way.

In Half-Life, as has been said, place your model using a cycler, then swap the classname ("cycler") to cycler_sprite to avoid the model reacting to gunshots. Don't worry - although it's not obvious, cycler_sprite can easily render models as well. There are several things to keep in mind about this trick though: 1. Your model will be passable; 2. Your model likely won't play its animations if it has any; 3. The editor will probably stop previewing the model. You can also use monster_furniture, but I've barely used it myself.

Sorry for the late reply. There isn't a specific sniper entity, it's actually somewhat weirdly complicated. I'd recommend decompiling a Valve map and seeing how they did it. I know that the snipers themselves are just func_breakables that you destroy with grenades.

@@GoldSrcFreeman 3D entity mapping You can see all the connections in 3D mode from every _relay also _relay has more features such as 1. KillTarget 2. Self-kill on fire 3. TriggerState

@@lukkkasz323 Those arrows are useless anyway when you make complex maps and you can always target a relay from multi_manager if you need to kill an entity or set the trigger state.

attach a brush to that entity using the ORIGIN texture. this will act as the center of that brush

Are you using spirit of half-life? if so, they have a dumb feature where "Health" is set to 1 by default -- change it to 0.
