I'm surprised the Knives/Vash piano duet wasn't mixed in here. It's one of my fav tracks on the ost

I love how Knives's self-image is reflected so well by so many of his themes. He views himself as a hero for the plants, fighting against humanity for freedom even where that might doom the plants too. And that also makes his reality so at odds with his themes. He's a mass murderer who is willing to erase everything his brother is just so he can have him by his side, less like a person and more like an object. He's twisted, but given what led him to decide to destroy humanity, we can understand exactly why he is the way that he is.

And when Vash was humming to himself under the tree, Knives asked what the tune was. It was Knives's theme, but Vash said it calmed him. Thinking of his brother, his twin, calmed him. Knives is part of Vash.
