Trike Light Bar 2023

Here is a little project I did this afternoon to make my recumbent trike more visible to auto traffic coming up behind me. I used simple stuff I had right at home, nothing fancy, but it works! Steve's current recumbent trike is a 2021 HP Velotechnik Scorpion fs26 Enduro, outfitted with Schwalbe Marathon PLUS road tires instead of the stock knobby off-road tires. He has also owned a 2015 ICE Full Fat off-road trike, a 2014 Catrike 700 speed trike, and a 2007 ICE Qnt trike ... not to mention three bikes (Specialized Roll Elite - Motobecane Night Train fat tire - Easy Racers Gold Rush recumbent)

The threaded tubes are like shotgun cleaning rods. They thread together to reach through, missing is a big soft swab to screw in one end and a T handle to screw onto the other.

Okay, that makes sense. I never thought of it, but long ago, I did have occasion to use a bore brush. I think they may have been here from the previous occupant. steve

Put the smaller blinkers on the side of trike so people 90° to you will see them....

These lights show up brightly from the sides also, a nice perk for something this bright. When I have the yellow panniers and top trunk on the trike, the sides show up like crazy, especially with my yellow helmet and yellow shirt ... not to mention my bright florescent green/yellow gloves.
