Nice comparison! I might need to check out a Fuzion one. The only Maverick I've thrown is an Opto Air that somehow flies like an Opto-X Explorer. I can turn even my Musket a bit, but somehow not that thing! 😅

I’ve confirmed that the Air Maverick is uniquely stable for an air plastic disc. That is weird! In almost all other cases, the air is less stable than any other plastics a disc comes in!

@@BeaverBranch I picked one up for my mom as a next step up from her Opto Pearl, thinking it would be easy to throw for somebody over 60. Had to get a Diamond, too! 😂

Great ideas! If I can get the discs, I will do them! I have first run Graces and they seem more stable than the ones released afterwards. (I would like to get a newer run). Only have the Westside Box Boatman. I have VIP Ice Bears and VIP Moonshine Bears (the moonshine less stable than Ice - need to shoot the video). The Saint Pros versus Bear huge wish list. Want access to Saint Pros at reasonable price. Great ideas!

I would have to agree with you. Question is: does it maintain same flight longer? Like does it just not beat up because it is X plastic?

👍Wow, that Fuzion Burst Mav looks at Flippy as my beat in Opto River. Do you think the River actually goes farther than a similarly stable Maverick all things equal?

I think the River is comparable to the Maverick. The extra glide on the River is real and will give you about 20-30’ from my experience. I believe I have more control with the Maverick on harder throws. I like the River for my straight to slight fade touch shots (like when sometimes people may throw a midrange). So I do thrown both discs. I would throw the River on a longer anhyzer shot where I may want a different shade than the Maverick, which I would use for an anhyzer that I want to turn more. Like both of them for straight shots, trust Maverick more on a hard straight line, doesn’t fade as much as it slows. Both awesome discs and can do what you want with field work. Like the River for stretch hyzer shots, but will also do it with the Maverick.

Is flippie good or bad?

Great question! “Flippy” refers to the disc’s under stability. Meaning it’s tendency to move to the right off a right hand back hand (RHBH) throw on a flat release. A “flippy” disc is good for throwing left to right and some straight shots. The opposite of flippy would be stable and overstable. This would characterize a disc on a flat RHBH release to move from straight to left (or very left in the case of over stable!)

When comparing the weights, is it the stamp/manufacturer sticker or have you weighted them? My Lucid Sword marked 168g is actually 175 grams. Most disc are within the +/-3 g range ofc, but don't trust the machine making the disc fully! ;)

I actually told the store delivering my disc of it. But that they contacted L64 is improbable... I wanted to keep it even though it were intended to be lighter for max distance, I like having oddities that might be a bit different from anyone elses disc ;)

@@Iliyena87 I doubt it. I’ve heard this from other people as well. I will tell anyone I can get ear of. As far as consistency in flight the Trilogy lineups top notch. Weights on discs, all over the place!
