His daughter was likely in on it too, something else Russell mentioned was that he was scammed $1800 on roosters- which was a reference to “chicken-fight” aka rooster fighting which is another thriving illegal business/racket in Hawaii. The fact that Russell is engaged in rooster fighting tells you everything that you need to know about what kind of guy he is

Great job guys! I was so curious to see what kind of bust you guys were up to here. As soon as the Russell said he deleted the txt mesg he “randomly” received, I knew he was guilty. Even my mom said so. It was even more obvious when he got on the phone with the scammer asking what to do with the check and when Russell’s “daughter” asked TM to leave. Glad the higher authorities got involved and I absolutely LOVED Chappy’s conversation on the phone at the end. I know I don’t speak on behalf of my state, but it’s ppl like Russell who make Hawaii look bad. Go get arrested Russell. You deserve it. Be sure to report that mule to the feds. He was a known recipient and knew exactly what he was doing. Had he helped you and allowed you to get the address it was being sent to I would say give him some leniency. Since he was too much of a panzy and used his daughter as an excuse he should be prosecuted to the full extend of the law. Make him pay boys!

I needed this 3 years ago before my grandma passed away! For over 30 yrs she was roped into PCH. In the last 10 yrs she send them $50k with the thought she had won big. They literally stole everything she had before she died. She never would listen to me. This would have helped! 😢

First off thank you for all that you do to help people against these scams. I wanted to let you know my thoughts about this scam. They have been doing this for awhile. They already know how to detect when something is wrong. As soon as he said What do you mean you don't know? And the response was I don't know what's going on. That's when the caller knew something was up, that's when he decides to call pretending to be his daughter to get u guys out. Also when he said take a picture of the check and send it to this phone, what he meant was take a picture of who is there and what's going on. That's why it's confusing everything was a lie. They immediately took action. Wow it's good to like money but hurting others to get it is not right.

My mom fell to this scam around 2018. It ruined my family and now my parents are divorced. This all happened on the island of Maui. My father who is the money maker gave my mom around a total of over 150k+. This was due to an inheritance scam, now my dad has to work at the age of 73 :’(

Good one this. Where I doubted very much with the last one -John- that he knew what was going on, it is quite clear with this one. Mr Russell knew perfectly fine that he was doing something he shouldn't. I still wonder how those 'knowing' mules actually get involved, and what they do and don't know. I sure hope Jamaica 'little boy' is going to be caught. Nice vid, one of the best so far, as in staying calm and getting the most out of it!

I get where this guy is coming from.. I get emails and sometimes SMS's from UPS and other companies saying that i have a package coming to me... the only way i know that it is a scam, is because I am in South Africa, and have NEVER used UPS before.. I have no family overseas that would send packages through UPS. But i understand that one can get random messages like that... I also just delete those messages...but if something gets delivered, addressed to me by name, i would more than likely accept it... It's quite tricky. I love the work you guys do together with the other scam baiters... Keep up the good work

Government needs to put out a TV and advertising campaign simply saying if someone requests money in exchange for a larger amount of money it's a scam. It's so obvious and I struggle to see how so many people fall for it.

Russell was definitely in on it, you can tell with his wording towards the scammer "i dont know whats going on here" over and over, definetly tried to plead to both sides sounding "inoccent" to trilogy, and also hinting to the scammer since he knew what he needed to do the scammer would catch on he wasnt directly asking for the next step
