Very satisfying to watch. The way you make the interior come together is pure car art.

Goeff, I can't even tell you how valuable this video has been to me. And, everyone who needs a fhc trimmed should be sending it to you! I'm currently working on the headliner, and the panels for the quarter lights would have been a mystery had you not explained them so well. I'm about to glue the front and rear edges, and I think this will be a challenge. Any suggestions on glue? One thing I didn't see in your video, but you probably know is that there is a fiberboard backer panel below the rear window that the lower edge glues to - my car still had the original piece in place. I can send a photo if that's something you are interested in. Also, a minor detail, the reason your rear parcel box hinges needed a shim was that the vinyl trim behind the seats originally mounted to a thin panel rather than directly glued to the metal. I'm not sure your method isn't better though. I haven't found a local trimmer for my seats, so I'll probably be taking those on on the next couple of months with the help of your excellent video. I have been looking for that "crest-of-the-wave" rubber for the floor and have not yet found it. Doesn't seem to be in the parts book or Viart. Would you mind sharing a source? Again thanks very much for this most helpful posting. Ron

Absolutely fabulous work Geoff! Dare I say that it’s finished better than the original? I follow Richard’s channel so I hope we’ll get to see the finished article!

I'm just starting the interior finishing on my 120fhc, and this video is extremely helpful. Many parts of my car were disassembled by the po, and it's hard to tell how some of it is supposed to fit together. Thanks very much! One thing that I'm unclear about is how the rear widow is held in and sealed. Anything you could share about that? Again many thanks, Ron

there's a rubber seal for the glass that seals around the inside perimeter of the body opening. Then there's a (headliner trimmed) aluminum surround that screws on over it from the inside trapping the glass&seal against the outer opening
@ronsmith5867 Жыл бұрын
@geoffchrysler So no sealant on the glass? I also don't recall there being a tack strip around the window or around the front windscreen. Are these glued? Thank you very much.
@geoffchrysler Жыл бұрын
@@ronsmith5867 yes, headliner is glued around front and back windows, the rear window seal goes onto the glass and is glued/sealed to the body when installed
