Hey Curtis, I use to wear a system about 5 years. I stopped cause I noticed when sunlight was on it like a sunroof, u can literally see the system base. Thank God someone that finally really gets it. Hair lines are not suppose to look like someone laid a bowl on your head and drew a curved line from one side to the other. No one really has a hair line like that so why do all the saloons keep doing it! The widows peek or a reseeding hair line is much more natural. Thanks for the very informative video on cutting and plucking the hair line to make it look great. I don't know of anyone doing this and really thank you. Hi Curtis! Been a fan of yours for a long while now ... I have been using toppik for many years now (8years) and (I am 29 years of age now )and it has worked wonders and it has become an art form for me to get just right.people/work colleagues have noticed and I try the usual to deflect of the subject but I am getting to a point of not wanting to go out in public or go to events which really saddens me because I used to be a very out going person and do class myself as a good looking guy, But now My balding is getting worse and the toppik and concealer combination is trying its best for dear life to hold on to the hair I have. Now I have been sitting on this fence for about just over a year now and I must admit I am getting closer and closer in just going for it but what is actually stopping me right now is my work colleagues as they are the type of bunch who speak there mind which is good and bad but it something I am scared off. I have shown one of my best mates and girlfriend these videos and he and she has said they are bloody brilliant and go for it ... whatever makes you happy but as I said he and she personally thinks they look great. I have been gradually telling people at work and have had good responses which is a massive weight of my mind. I know they are not stupid people and know I use something in my hair which they don't mention much about anymore so they must be used to seeing me with it so I assume it would be same with a hair system after time. Had my first consultation today and should be getting it fitted in 6-8 weeks ... eeek! slight excited and scared hehe.

Hey Curtis. When you are using the eyebrow scissors, are you just cutting away the extra poly or are you very slightly cutting into the hair to create a slight widows peak? I know you mention in other videos that in general never cut into the hairline but i am assuming this is just a general rule and this would be the exception as its just a slight amount? I was reading another comment below where you advised to pluck the hairline before cutting into it with a lace unit, does this go for a poly too? Thanks Curtis

When you pluck lace does the whole hair actually come out or does it just break the hair and leave the bleached knot behind?
@HairExperience4 жыл бұрын
Joshua, plucking lace is a different animal. Its suppose to be done from the bottom, while the unit is off. But that normally does not work. You can pluck lace but it needs to be done as close to the base as possible to attempt to get the knot at the same time. You do not want it left behind, as im sure you know . Depending if the bleached knots are good, it may be better to separate the hair (kinda like doing a template cut) and cut away the parts not needed. You can do this before or after the plucking. Then do a little fine plucking for it to be irregular Hope that helps !!

Thanks Curtis! That's really helpful

I wish other people would pay attention to the hairline too - so many “professionals” showcasing people with unnaturally straight and low hairlines. It’s the hairline that can be the biggest giveaway for fake hair wearers, and just spending that extra bit of time on the system could transform it from obvious to undetectable.

I watched a guy on You Tube cut his own hairline on his system using a plastic templet. He only needs hair in the front 3 inches of his head. So he cuts up one system into 3 front pieces using a scissor. He only cuts the lace and not the hair. Do you think this is a good idea? I was wondering how you got that widow's peak on your system. Thanks.
@HairExperience5 жыл бұрын
Ive seen him as well. All of this is totally up to you and how you choose to do it. I feel that there is only one hairline per unit and that method will not get the best results for the hairline. But again thats just my personal opinion and not saying anyone is wrong

Thank you Curtis, I did not know you could adjust the hairline like that. It would be great if you could detail the hairline cutting process out a bit more and add it as a video in your paid video course. I am missing that part and I think it is so important. When using a lace system, can you also just add curves into the hairline as you show with the small scissors? For example in case the hairline you have gotten is very straight? And when doing the cutting, you only have the very front of the hairline taped down, right?
@HairExperience4 жыл бұрын
Hey yes sir you can. But you have to be careful not to cut into the hairline if hair is there. You would want to pluck it first!!

I really like ultra thin skin poly units, but the base tends to get really shiny in the front and I can't seem to reliably stop the shine, which is annoying because it makes it look like there's sweat or shiny tape stuck to my forehead (even though I don't use tape). Sometimes washing it seems to help, but not always, and some times I don't have time to do that. Any Advice? Also, one thing I like to do to the hairline is cut the base out from in between the hairs in the front, and also, sometimes I'll cut the front or back strand of the V-loops to make them look like individual hairs growing from the scalp.

What hair piece system is going to give you the most realistic hairline coming out of the box? @hairexperience
@megadave11973 жыл бұрын
If you’re going to do it then don’t do it on the cheap. You need to budget 3k per year. You’ll also need to allow time for weekly refits. Basically wearing one of these will require your attention 24/7. Your whole life will revolve around the system. Every decision you make will need to be considered with the system in mind. Not worth the time or money. Invest both in something more fulfilling.
