Nice review. Never smoked a fundadores so far. I like the Trinidad Robusto-T a lot (I'm on my second box) Aging it for 14 years is admirable but IMO maybe a bit too long. I would imagine that it would've peaked flavour wise in the 5 - 10 years range.

One of these days ill have to try an Uzi...just had an Undercrown Corona tonight, great stick. Not much of a fan of infused cigars. Do You find that the Acid lines are much different in flavor? A lot of them smell fairly similar to each other.

Trinidad Fundadores cigars were released in 1971 as diplomatic gifts after Castro sold the Cohiba blend of the Cohiba Lancero which were the first Diplomatic gifts( 1968 - 1970) to Zino Davidoff. Cohiba then added a 3rd barrel fermentation to the blend and then re-released them. Also when the the Trinadad was a diplomatic gift it was a 38 ring gauge, changed to a 40 ring gauge when re- released to the public. Great review by the way!

Well, you are the first person that has ever described Tannin (astringent bitterness) as pleasant. The sole aim of aging Habanos is to remove this characteristic from the leaf.
