I've watched Bennet for well over a decade, and he was probably my second favorite reviewer from my early watching days, NC being the first and I still watch him to this day. Gotta say, though, accusing some of the plagiarism when the dates themselves do not line up is ugh.....OOOOOOOF.

His video boils down to "It is a copy of everything popular" Ok, but give us a clear review of it with everything that it has to it. one review of bennie's that reallly got under my skin was his Android kikaider review where he kept calling Jiro an idiot not understanding he was awakened shortly after his creator died was never taught anything and therefore he is an infant is a robot's body

Sages logic basically boils down to "Uh trenchcoats, vampires, and guns YEAH DUDE ITS JUST HELLSING" which could also mean its a copy of other media as well I mean god forbid he watches Black Blood Bros he might have an anuerism seeing the protag Jiro Mochizuki being a vampire who wears a red coat too. Really if anything Trinity Blood is much closer to Witch Hunter Robin plus a hint of D Gray Man (aesthetically at least and the protag does the one arm stand thing there too lol) then it is to Hellsing.

The hilarious thing is that the trenchcoat vampire thing has been a massive staple of the Vampire the Masquerade stuff pretty much since it was first published... Hell, in the 70's and 80's, you had a few vampire things using the coats as well since they tend to move almost like a modern day cape in appearance

@@AzraelThanatos Buffy the Vampire Slayer had many of its mainstay vampires (like Spike and Angel) in trench coats for such a reason. Spike's coat even got a origin story because it was such a iconic part of his look.

Yet another awesome 2000s anime that never got finished and should have been, made worse by the fact the creator sadly died. More to the point, I really liked Trinity Blood, plus I’m a sucker for the gothic punk aesthetics ala Warhammer and Devil May Cry. And yeah, if notes and outlines are still left, why not let the story be finished? If Berserk can do it, then do it for Trinity Blood and Getter Robo also, dang it!

Some kind of order employing a dark or monstroius side person, is a trope, because i assume the inherent conflict porential, hating themselves, the order turning against them, them having to identify with the other. Its just a gothic archetype.

Unless he's kept to that early reviewer phase I think his feelings on vampires have somewhat changed. It's been awhile since I saw his first review about bashing vampires but I think it was more so an issue of execution rather than concept, cause despite his hate and the times he's bashed on vampires, he's also given compliments to stuff like the last vampire movie that's connected to blood C or the vampire hunter D movie with the beautiful detail and color along with having D while stiff as a board personality wise isn't a weeping repetitive annoyance like Donovan Bane from the nightstalkers anime. In a way I can get that cause while the idea to vampires have certainly had many ideas, there's definitely several that just really went.......meh at best and ugh at worst. .​@@latviandragon2718

Actually, here’s a better idea. Question for everyone, and please take all the time to think deeply about your answer: Who is a more interesting character based solely off of their original novels; Count Dracula or Adam Frankenstein?

If what appeals to you is a character that's mysterious, whose lore, background isn't spelled out for you and leaves room for imagination, then Dracula is probably right up your alley. But if you love a rounded, thoroughly explored and fleshed out character, then you'll probably prefer Frankenstein

Speaking of Madoka Magica, any chance for a review on a series with an inspiration from Faust? One hint, review the TV series since the movie version of it has heavy cuts to "filler" (ie: backstory of some of the main girls, specifically Kyoko and Sayaka) and censorship of scenes like Madoka's farewell to Homura in Episode 12.

Ngl, mostly clicked when I saw mention of Bennet's name and was curious on what you had to say about him. And gotta say... You're not wrong there. Never saw much of the guy's stuff but what I did see kinda rubbed me the wrong way. One was his review of AD Police Files (good ova series that was cut short due to behind the scenes financial issues) where it felt like he was more pissy about the nude bits than the actual stories (not that he'd actually understood what was being said) and the other was his vid on the 2000s Android Kikaider anime, never watched the review in question but judging from the thumbnail (which was him whacking the mc with a guitar btw) I'd say he get that series either. Sorry, I just kinda had a bone to pick with him. Just well said there on debunking his crap Anyway, as for your review, a great one as usual. Don't think I've heard of this series before, but after watching this, I think I'll add it to my backlog now. Also, I will agree on your stance of handling a series after the passing of the creator, though if only it's done by people who were as passionate for it as much as the creator was (basically what I'm saying is, I'd rather not have a rwby situation granted that series was pretty flawed from the start but got worse after volume 3 (though I'd argue vol 6 was the point but I digress) Anyway, have a good day and great vid as always.
