🤔 Believe her seamstress/tailor, Azucena, customized a nude undershirt w/shoulder pads at her request. ✂️She might've clipped open short sleeves & tucked them inside to soften the sometimes harsh edge of the shoulder pad. 🪡This touch gave it bit more stability as well as an 80s flair to it. (😉At least that's what they did w/earlier versions.) In this case, they might've cropped the hem too, so it doesn't compete w/her other clothing layers or add unnecessary visual bulk too. If you go the DIY route, you just want to select a breathable, body-sculpting nude tee as a base. Choose one w/a lower or wider neckline that won't compete w/your main top. Otherwise, Kim Kardashian's lingerie/loungewear line had something similar at some point. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

Love this video. The older I get the more I’m attracted to the classics. Easier to achieve with fall and winter clothes than spring/summer outfits. The weather might get warmer but my wardrobe leaves me cold!

For summer classics, I stick mainly with cotton and linens in blues and whites, creams, cafe latte, sand, you get the picture. Some bright red and lemon might creep in, a simple dress or shirts with classic denim jeans or tailored shorts, and metallic or tan accessories. Slip dresses are good with a light shirt over. I am a classic body shape but fussy in summer just looks sweaty. Hope that was helpful.

I enjoyed this, I do love SMALL patterns, which don't overwhelm me, usually in my Summer dresses ( Sorry ,they suit me and I feel good in them. Easy to wear in the hot weather), I also do have a plain dress in several Neutral Colours ( all same style which suited me so I got the Cool/ Neutral colours , to my husbands chagrin. 6 of them !😂, but I love them and I DO wear them...🤷‍♂️ ) However, I have Blazers /Coats, Trousers and Shirts in every neutral colour which I haven't worn as I didnt really know how. Yes, I do love Florals and dresses and can wear occasional SMALL DELICATE frills on them or blouses. I keep them in proportion, I hope, 😂 Like many others, I have taken many years to feel comfortable in my style, or just work out what it is! Hence my needing Trinny to give me confidence ,here, to wear a whole section of unworn Wardrobe pieces.!! I had no confidence in my youth, mainly because my mum and sisters were quick to criticise my fashion choices and destroyed my confidence to be " me". ( plus I had an eating disorder for 8 years , late teens into my 20s ) I had to emigrate to Australia to feel free to shop for 'me'.( not the only reason for emigration!!, 😂 😂) My wardrobe was just entirely Black pieces for decades. I've kept just a few favourite pieces and donated the rest to Charity. I never even owned a dress for many years, Now they're my favourite, easy to wear staple, I guess Now I can enjoy wearing colour , but never Pastels or Beige, which really, really wash me out. I can never remember if that makes me " cool" or "warm" with my dark blonde hair, pale ( ish) skin and very blue eyes?? I'm rubbish at this. I can wear Jewel colours,( Emerald green, , Cobalt Blues, Red, Teal, Deep purples) They bring me to life, even if it goes against the rules,? I just know what lights up my face and makes me feel good I love Blazers for Autumn and Winter, they smarten any look. I've failed badly, all my life, on the Smart Casual front, no clue how to pull this off. I'm still learning! And, like you, all is Weather led!! I think it's great, whenever I read your comments, that you seem to know your own style so well, and also advise and encourage others to find theres.

I wish more mature women would tuck in their tops. Wearing long tops out over the hips makes every outfit look frumpy. We all have a bit more rounded tummy as we age, we should stop obsessing over covering it. We’re looking down at it, so it looks bigger than it really is, and women are supposed to have curves there! By showing the waistband of the skirt or trousers, by tucking in or wearing shorter tops, we show that we have a shape and legs, not just stumps. My rule is no tops worn out longer than the top of my hip bone, ideally shorter, just covering the top of my waistband. I’m not slim (size US 12 and, as you British say, just under “10 stone”), and my tummy is round, too, but I always show my waistband. Get rid of all those tunic tops, they’ve been out of style for 20 years and never were flattering, even with skinnies or leggings! Also, avoid those “mature” brands, their tops, sweaters, etc., are always ridiculously long, down past my leg break, usually (I’m 5’4.5”).

I buy socks in every color of trousers I have, to keep that long line going. Tights, too, because I wear mostly skirts and dresses. If I can’t match a dress or trousers, I at least match my socks and shoes. I think matching socks, trousers and shoes is best, but sometimes I have to settle for two out of three, like with colored skirts. I’ve never been comfortable in closed-toe shoes without socks, so I found some little toe-socks that don’t show.

dear Trinny in your videos you often use clothes that you have had for years and are still in perfect condition. would you ever make a video about how to take care of individual pieces of wardrobe? whether to wash them at home and, if so, how and how to dry them. or whether to take it to the dry cleaners. possibly how to store clothes in the wardrobe, etc. thank you very much.

😉Most of Trinny's wardrobe is immensely pre-loved💕... by herself ... some by her late socialite mother ... & thus sustainable in that sense. She truly values her very own fashionable treasures 💎 like almost none other. 🤯 Personally, I'm amazed at the details she retains & recalls on the retail history of each & every acquisition. She reminds us proudly of the sales, deals, & history of how she smartly acquired many outrageously expensive high quality, high-end designer duds. 🐔 Plus, in her day she proudly scoured high street for clearance items (like many of us) in order to get the best cluck for her clothing buck. Her 💰budget might be leagues ahead of our own overall, but she continues to be brilliant bargain🔍hunter who believes in 👷‍♀️ building 🔨 longevity into her own closet. 🛍 In most episodes she shops her own gargantuan designer & high street personal clothing collection that she has lovingly amassed over the ages. She may introduce new pieces now & again, but she typically draws her looks from many of the sensational pieces she's smartly gathered & kept over the decades.
