This makes me so happy! You make it sound perfectly idiomatic for those instruments you'd think it was written for them. The cello in particular, really digging into that pedal part, animates it in a way feet could never. Thank you!

Simply exquisite in every way.

Thank you. Really great !! The oboe is much louder than the violin, though.

I digress, I posted while thinking of an organ performance where I had some emotional connections. Superb musicianship, lovely sound.

As an organist, this is brilliant. It will certainly prove amazing food for thought about how they can be done.

Nice but a tad quick!

I found this video after suddenly having the idea of performing this piece with orchestral instruments in concert style. This is exactly what I had in mind, including the tempo. I think this is the sound world organists should be striving for, not the more usual 'cuckoo clock' style musicologists in the 70's or 80's advocated.

Brutta interpretazione.

Fa venire l'ansia. Per non parlare delle note sporche dell'oboista: sembra una papera zoppa!

It's supposed to be in E flat and for three parts. Having the harpsichord is too busy. And it's too quick. Otherwise good.

Bach wrote many pieces in imitation of the standard trio sonata form, which he presumed his listeners knew so well that their imaginations would fill in the missing parts. So the violin sonatas, the gamba sonatas, are imaginary trio sonatas for two players. The organ trios are imaginary trio sonatas for one. What we do is flesh out what Bach was imitating, the normal trio sonata. It is true that the overwhelming majority of organists just don't play these pieces at normal baroque tempos, so ours do seem fast, but only to listeners used to technically dictated organ tempos. Thanks for writing.

And I'm sure he expected the imagination to fill in the missing harpsichord part...

As far as the key, Bach regularly changed it when adapting works. Check out the violin concertos he arranged for harpsichord.
