TCU Collegium performs the 2nd Trio Sonata in D Major from Arcangelo Corelli's Opus 3 set of Trio Sonatas on period instruments.

Understandably, not everyone is as familiar with period performance of baroque music. The key is indeed D Major, even though it sounds like C# Major. This is due to the fact that baroque-era musicians tuned their As to 415 hz, whereas todays musicians tune their As to 440 hz. The difference in those frequencies is roughly a half-step, meaning that a violin in baroque tuning sounds roughly a half-step lower than an instrument in modern tuning. Happy to clear this up for you. If you have any further doubts, the music is freely available on imslp.org and is written in the key of D Major and information on baroque-era tuning practices can be easily found by a simple google search.
