Mein Bruder ist mit 55 Jahren gestorben. Er ist bei einem Flugzeugabsturz gestorben, voll mit Fallschirmspringer, er hat alle gerettet und selber kam er ums Leben.Ich vermisse dich so sehr. Mein Mann starb vor sechs Jahren , ich habe nur zweimal geweint ,einmal als die Ärzte mir sagten das er gestorben ist und dann bei der Trauerfeier und dann bis heute nie wieder. It’s more a Jewish song than Christian, bearing in mind the influence from the Torah. Cohen was Jewish by birth to a Canadian/Lithuanian mother who was the daughter or granddaughter of a Rabbi and a Canadian/Polish Jewish father in Canada so i guess the lyrics show where he was at in his faith. A beautiful song all the same.
