It's that time of year again where I have to take the wife's 2006 Saab 9-5 Vector 2.0t Biopower to the mandatory Swedish yearly inspection (MOT). In this vlog I take you along for the ride and show my tips and tricks for making it a quick and painless procedure.

Here in Norway is every two years. My 2003 Saab 9-5 2.3t Vector had stood still for 5 moths before i purchased it due to engine failure. Replaced engine and brakes and drove it for quite some time to get things loose and running again. Passed on first try in July. Great car! Need a new DIC and SID but other than that, it's running great! Going to Trollhättan now this Thursday in it. Can't wait! :D

+Trionic Seven Last winter I spend some days in Abisko, Kiruna, Narvik and Tromso. I saw the northern lights ;) but very little Saabs up north. I confess I was hopping to see more. :(

Hi Jonathan, here in South Africa, if you buy a car from someone, just a road test is needed and transfer of ownership documents completed, you DO NOT have to road test every year, and also insurance is at your own discretion, just road tax every year,,,, that's it Cheers

I had a 2002 Saab 93 convertible and it was a galvanized body and frame. is the 2006 wagon galvanized as well?

There's a difference between serpentine belt and timing chain ;)

De brukar inte mäta så noga. På min Aero har jag stort avgasrör som låter fint men ingen klagar på den.

Kommer snart äga en sån här saab. Fick den väldigt billigt från en släkting som haft den sedan ny. Endast gått 12 tusen mil och är också en 2006. Hade ärligt talat inte tanken om att jag skulle äga en saab, men fick den billigt och den har inte gått långt så varför inte? Dom har följt all service enligt bok osv. Är det något speciellt man bör tänka på med dom här?
