TRIP REPORT | Copa Airlines Economy Class Review 737 MAX 9| Buenos Aires - Panama City - Los Angeles

Love this review! Once had this airline on my way from Newark(EWR) to Olmedo Guayaquil(GYA) and of course it was from Panama to Guayaquil. On my way back from Ecuador I got lucky to be on the B737-9MAX which had entertainment screens but weirdly not for business class. It was cool as Panama airport!

The applause is a beautiful gesture of gratitude to the pilot for bringing us safely to our destination. It is a beautiful custom of our country (Puerto Rico). On one occasion we arrived at the island and no one applauded. Suddenly the pilot was heard saying: "where is my applause" LOL and we all laughed and applauded loudly.

About the missing window. Notice that the row with no window has a wall that sticks out more? A plug door is actually positioned there. A plug door isn't even a door. If the plane were to have a high-density configuration (meaning high-capacity), an extra pair of doors would be needed, but since Copa has fewer seats, an extra pair of doors is not needed, so in its place, there is a plug that does not function at all like a door and does not open whatsoever. Also, if the aircraft were to be sold to another airline that would want a high-capacity configuration, they can simply take the plug out and put in a pair of doors. Great video!

I hate copa airlines. They have these long distance flights without entertaimnet screens in every seat. Even when you book a plane that is suppose to have screens at every seat, they often change planes at the last minute, to ones that do not have screens at every seat. You can bring your own device and hook it up to their entertaimnet selection, but wny do you have to go through that hassle, especially on long distancw flight in coach that is already unfortable. I opted for the eixt row seats that hove more leg room. These seats are quite comfortable., but for a 7 hours 15 minute flight, i expected the convenience of a entertaiment screen at my seat like it said in the beginning when I booked the flight, only to find out they changed the plane. Ironcally, a shourt 1 hour flight at screens at every seat. Go figure. If you don't have an exit row seat, you are squeezed into a seat where you can barely stretch. In addition, the food is disgusting.
