I took the sister carrier of Swiss International Airlines to Zurich, one week after the re-inaugural flight from Denver. Edelweiss brought back service to Denver after 3 years, now using the Airbus A340-300.

Lovely trip report. Liked and subscribed. The Captain was the highlight of this flight :) It's nice to have an opportunity to fly on an A340-300.

The pre-landing treat is called "Biberli". Its some sort of gingerbread but with almonds.

Flew in May to Las Vegas with the HB-JMF with Edelweiss from Zürich. My experience was so good with Edelweiss ! For me always Edelweiss in their lovely A340. 😍

This aircraft is nice , although the not so powerful CFM engines are just enough to take off. I think edelweiss will soon refresh there fleet with the beautiful a350 900. I flew in the Iberia 350 and was just amazing. Next month I fly with edelweiss to Tampa Florida and guess still will be using the 340-300😮

I am not familiar with the miles/award system unfortunately. I didn’t find this trip directly through United. It was on Google flights and linked me to the United website.

@@ZackHeider Be aware that I didn’t look for the flights on United. I found them on Google flights, and in order for me to book them it directed me there. I never found any edelweiss flight by looking directly from the United website. Hope this helps. And thanks!

My experience was better than yours I flew on the same plane Seat 9K 12 hrs flight from SJO Costa Rica to ZRH. and that is a cookie made from the famous flower edelweiss
