Seeing Praha hl.n. brought back some nice memories. I used to travel from Praha to Budejovice every 2 weeks where i worked in Throvy Sviny. Great train service.

Those Railway motor vaggons was built Shorts past the world war 2 from the 1946 to thé 1960 years. That Is constructor Královopolská factory in the Brno in Moravia And diesel engines K12V170 from the ČKD PRAHA. IT was built underground thé floor. And elektrické power 310kW. Those Cars was used Věry long time to 2000 year!!! On thé normal And fast trains on thé line Ostrava - Opava - Krnov - Glucholazy - Jeseník And return. I remember, i go in the 1994 year with this car built in the 1949 year!!! On thé Fast trains, 120 km about 2 hours.

Thanks for watching! This train runs all year round every Saturday and Sunday several times a day. Btw, there were 10 people on this train, it was the first Sunday morning service, which is usually emptier. And also I came to the station for a long time before departure due to shots of empty train :-)

Thanks! Good choice :-) Btw. be aware of the departure times, because not every connection is operated by historical railcar.. departure times of historical train (from Praha hl.n. / main station) are at 08.39, 10.36, 12.32 and 14.26 (Saturdays and Sundays).

This is for sure one of the nicest trips you can make within Prague. It was also fun when it started on Praha-Smíchov Na Knížecí, such a super funny little stop. And also interesting to know is that at Praha-Zličín there is an old platform where they could unload trams. The tram tracks run up to the platform so they can ride the on/off a cargo train.

Yes, I agree. There are 2 beautiful routes around Prague, this one (Prague Semmering) and the Sázava Pacific. Yes, I know, there is a special ramp to carry trams to / from trailers.

@@PeteBrandy však se mu proto taky říkalo Kraksna nebo Kredenc. U nás na Jesenicku jezdily až do roku 2000! Takže se to zmíněné dětství protáhlo na hodně dlouho. To proto, že komunisti nebyli schopni za něj zajistit výrobu náhrady v podobě vozu M475 Chrochtadlo.

Díky moc! Já si je jako dítě pamatuju že občas jezdily jako zálohy.. jinak je celkem škoda, že už nejezdí vlaky z Chomutova do Prahy po staré trati (tuším že přes Žatec nebo Louny a Rakovník), raději bych jezdil tudy, než přes Ústí n.L., mám kousek od Chomutova rodinu.

Žhavé trubky 👍👍👍 Also known as "hot pipes" as it was prone to engine fires. Later versions were powered by river tug engine. Unlike other railcars it was not lacking power and was often able to compensate for delays. The interior and the window crank is class! This one would be doing with a lick of paint.

This is a typical "I just love this" train. No need for explanation. 👍 The Praha-Smíchov station is somehow one of my favourite stations. I cannot explain neither. btw. I accidentally caught some RegioJet extra portion train at the Devínska Nová Ves station on Saturday - posted a short video.

Great video of a historic train in Prague really liked the exterior. The interior not too bad but I think the seats should have been more vintage and good windowhanging even if very close to trees and hills

Thanks so much! Yes, the seats could be more vintage, but I think they correspond to the time when the train was in operation (I guess this is the 3rd generation from the late 60's but after modernization during operation)

Otherwise, if there are no people in my videos, it doesn't mean that no one traveled, but I try to shoot the videos without visible people .. But also I usually look for trains that run at less frequent times and I'm coming to the station for a long time before departure.

Jen taková poznámka - ten vůz (všeobecně všechny starší velkoprostory) je rozdělený kvůli tomu, že půlka byla kuřácká a půlka nekuřácká.

Jo, dokonce i Áčka a Béčka svého času měly kuřácké oddíly.. v tomto motoráku jsou dokonce v jedné části popelníky v opěrkách (ale nejdou otvírat).. btw. to samé bylo i v letadlech

Ano, to je sice pravda, ale viděl jsem více takových vozů bez předělu s jedním oddílem . Pohodlí jakž- takž, pokud jste v něm neneli 3 hodiny cestu jako u nás z Jeseníku do Ostravy a to ještě v roce 2000! Toho se nikdo nenadál, že? To z důvodu neschopnosti komunistů zajistit výrobu něčeho lepšího, jako M475!!!

@@PeteBrandy teď jsem byl na malym koncertě v Příbrami, bylo to v nějaký soukromí místnosti v bowling clubu, kouřilo se tam jako kdysi, všude zahulíno, všude popelníky a lidi s cígama v ruce že musíš dávat bacha aby ses nespálil, když si to takhle člověk připomene jak to bylo kdysi,t ak jsem fakt rád že to kouření skoro všude zakázali, navíc už jsem skoro zapomněl jakej to je šílenej smrad z oblečení když jsi v zahulený místnosti

Většinou jsem ve stanici delší dobu před odjezdem, takže stihnu vychytat doby, kdy nejede moc lidí. A většinou se snažím cestovat v dny a časy, kdy cestuje nejméně lidí.. a s prázdným vlakem je to tak, že často bývá vlak u nástupiště dříve, než zobrazí nástupiště na odjezdové tabuli, takže jsem většinou ve vlaku dřív než začnou chodit lidi :-D

KŽC provozuje i další historické vlaky, včetně jediného přímého rychlíku Praha - Mšeno. Nedávno jsem s ním jela z výletu a mohu doporučit, pokud se člověk chystá na Kokořínsko. Ráno tam a odpoledne zpátky. Cena tuším 60Kč pokud má člověk lítačku.

Ano, vím, už jsem chtěl loni vyzkoušet Rakovnícký a Kokořínský rychlík, ale nějak jsem to nestihl. Letos doufám že to už klapne. Jaká byla obsazenost toho Kokořínského? Je šance chytit kupé pro sebe?

@@PeteBrandy Já to jela jak bylo před 14 dny krásný víkend, ale jen zpátky, ranní jsem nechytla, obsazenost odpoledního zpátky byla celkem slušná, ale bylo krásně teplo a Kokořínsko narvané lidmi. jela jsem sama a v kupé jsem sama nebyla, byl tam se mnou jeden mladý pár. A plus je potřeba počítat s tím, že hodně lidí nastupuje v Mělníku (to jsem jela loni a obsazenost cestou zpět taky slušná), protože tam se tuším taky moc jinak nedá dostat bez přestupu v Všetatech, aspon ne vlakem.
