TRIP REPORT | Virgin America - A321neo - New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX) | First Class

Hey guys, welcome to another trip report. A couple of weeks ago, I flew on Virgin America, probably for the last time. They have always been one of my favorite airlines, and it is sad to see them becoming history.
Anyways, the terminal at JFK is aging quickly and is too small to handle the number of airlines it does. It was impossible to find an open seat. However, the seat on the plane was amazing. It is the best domestic seat after JetBlue Mint. The meal was also amazing, and the crew was very funny and nice!

As Alaska has already started implementing some of those changes, the quality of the service has seen a precipitous decline. It really is too bad that JetBlue was outbid by Alaska in the battle to take over Virgin. As always, another great video. Thanks so much for sharing...

Virgin has very comfortable seats and the IFE is quite nice. I really like the safety video. It’s like everyone has miniature living rooms. The American Airlines safety video is however my second favorite. I’d take 7 inch PTVs over tablet holders any day. A PTV and a comfortable is something you cannot go wrong with.

I've gotten really used to VX's F product over the last two years, mainly between SFO-SEA & SFO-LAS. I must say, it is by far my fav. domestic F product (that I've experienced) and I'm so sad to see it disappearing soon. The legroom itself is crazy comfortable, not to mention the power seats & massage functions. After my flights with VX, all other F products just seem so "blah." Never got to try the 321 either.

You should fly Virgin Australia! It’s the same, but, IMO better...I flew them from SYD to LAX and LAX to BNE ...I also flew V America to get to Washington so I can compare it to V Australia’s domestic service...Come to Australia one day! You’ll love it...Airports and staff are much better here I feel.

I have two criticisms: -If that livery is really supposed to represent the West Coast well then the West Coast is definitely dull and boring. -It may be very cool indeed but safety announcements are to be taken seriously for the good of everyone on board, not taken as a joke and a distraction. And most importantly they must be UNDERSTANDABLE.All this singing and autotune means serious lyrics about what to do in case of an emergency go misunderstood or not heard.
