Amazing Trip Report! This was the 1st time I watched the premiere of one of your videos on KZbin live. It’s a great idea and allows us to interact with each other. Can’t believe they are stopping the Do&Co pre-booked meals on the short haul flights. They always looks delicious and better than some business class meals. I never even managed to try one. Hopefully they will bring them back again in the future! Keep up the great work! ✈️

Great video! I really enjoyed every minute. You were lucky that you could get a good shot of the moment of closing in on the entrance door of the aircraft. Or I should say, I'm lucky, because you experienced it in real life. Also you did a good job with the night video shots. No reflections. I discovered there are also anti-reflection lens hoods for smartphones starting at 20 euro, pretty expensive. But you're sweater works great.

I know about that... but the service was already something that you had to pay for... it doesn't make sense that they stop offering it. In my case, I was many times choosing to fly with Austrian Airlines because of that service. I won't be willing to pay the extra that it's always a ticket with Austrian to get the same service as on a low-cost... =/

@@OnBoardHD I see your Point. Unfortunatly thats new lufthansa group policy, I'm personally angry for them you can fly Ryanair for 10€ and lufthansa for 100€ and you don't have any difference! Only hand bag (still) is free. About this DO&CO i think they wont offer that bcz they know it is better than they new "service concept" so people will likely buy this DO&CO service reather then this new one...

Buen video, lástima la suspensión del servicio a bordo, se veían los platos deliciosos, serán vuelos para ir bien alimentados o pasar hambre hasta llegar a destino jejeje, difícilmente permitirán que uno lleve su propio lunch. Cuidence mucho.

I fly the London Vienna route quite a few times, usually about 1hr 50 minuets, Austrian, Easyjet, and British Airways all provide that service.

@@OnBoardHD yes try easyjet perhaps no frills but a great money saver, and i had a lovely flight with them on one of my trips to vienna, they where absolutely fine, although you will have to use Gatwick or Manchester among other airports to use them, but if one prefers to use Heathrow, then of course, the choice lies between BA or Austrian, i like the cleaniness of Austrian, your video of the Austrian Airlines trip to vienna was exellent, and really enjoyed!!

En mi opinión, esas comidas pre-compradas eran lo que hacían de los vuelos de corto radio de Austrian algo totalmente diferente y único en Europa. Sin ello... pues no tengo ningún motivo para pagar el coste extra que supone un billete con ellos...

Por supuestísimo que vuelo con ellos. Normalmente como salgo de SCQ, hago SCQ-FRA con Lufthansa y después FRA-VIE y VIE-KLU con Austrian. Por cierto, en la ruta de VIE-KLU siempre volaron con un Dash 8 Q400 y tienen programado reemplazarlo por un ERJ195 a partir de noviembre de este año!!!

Genial, Thomas! El SCQ-FRA lo hice yo también una vez, casi en el vuelo inaugural. Desde el punto de vista del comfort, el E195 es mucho más cómodo... pero la verdad es que tener los Dash da una variedad que se agradece de vez en cuando... me dará pena cuando los retiren del mercado... =( Nos vemos en el estreno! :)

Thanks for another nice flight and explanations. At the start I saw a lot of people in the Terminal. But if 1 terminal handles all the passengers for 5 terminals, it is sad to see. Quesetion: at around 3 minutes into the video one can see a plane with rainwipers. Where do they go during the flight. With all the windforce, they would be ripped off, before the plane is at cruising altitude. When you are planespotting after landing, how do you know exactly where a plane is going? Or do you check afterward and put it in while editing the video?

Thanks. Glad that you've enjoyed the video. The wipers are only used at low speeds, basically during the takeoff roll and in final approach. During the rest of the flight they are not necessary at all. The speed of the plane doesn't allow to see any rain on the windshield. I can check it on the airport screens and FR24.

Unfortunately, this is confirmed. I got this replay from DO& CO catering provider for Austrian. "Due to product change at Austrian Airlines "DO & CO à la Carte" Orders for flights effective 01st of January 2021 are not possible anymore".

Pfff That's so bad... It was, by far, the best onboard service in any European carrier. It was the main reason why I was flying so much with Austrian. Without it, there is nothing making me want to pay the extra money that Austrian flights cost. Hopefully, it will come back after Austria easing the lock-down measures...

Qué díferencia de panel de vuelos entre Heathrow y Charleroi. Estoy esperando a ver si saliera en Wikipedia, al menos no lo he visto, un artículo con el dato del número de pasajeros en los diferentes primcipales aeropuertos durante 2020 y su comparacipn con los amteriores años. Me parece que leí que el Aeropuerto de Alicante había tenido poco mas de 2M cuando anualmente andará cerca de los 20M de pasajeros, y eso contando que en 2020 enero y febrero aun fueron normales y subirían la cifra. Para eso lo mejor es que te vayas a las estadísticas del gestor aeroportuario de cada país. En el caso de España, AENA publica estadísticas todos los meses y también de forma anual. Saludos

The airplane used on the flight it's an A319, as it is said on the title and inside the video. The one on the thumbnail it's an A321 because I didn't have any other picture of an Austrian Airlines plane. Apparently all major holiday airlines will restart flights in mid-May... I'll be monitoring the news and the ticket prices and I will decide in 1 or 2 months if I book some tickets. I'm really looking forward to make some flights with Jet2 and TUI UK :)
