TRIP to CIMARRON STATUE in SANTIAGO DE CUBA: The Maroons of Cuba

This was my trip to Santiago de Cuba in the summer of 2023. It took a while for me to produce this due to busy circumstances in my life. This Cimarron Statue was done in 1997 by Alberto Lescay. It is made of bronze and located on Cardenillo Hill in the Village of Cobre.

Dr. vaz I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a teach-in about maroons and their relationship with indigenous nations with our org based in south Florida. We are focused on decolonial action and education and providing mutual aid to the unhoused community of west Palm beach.
