I recently bought the coin wallet and matching phone case, and they are great! High quality, functional, and very stylish.

Good topic. I traded off my brick of a trifold early this year for a "Sherman Brands RFID Blocking Bifold Genuine Leather Minimalist Front Pocket Wallet" (whew...that's a mouthful). So far, I've been loving it. Really thought I was going to miss all the junk I used to carry around with me, but I don't...at all. For travel inside the States, I don't really change my card mix up too much. Usually what works well at home, works fine three States away too...usually. Though I don't ever "wallet" my Chase Amazon Prime Visa (because it works at Amazon just fine from home), if I'm traveling for more than a single night domestically I do normally slip it in my luggage. Just in case something happens to my wallet. Outside the country, I normally only put one credit card and one debit card in my wallet. Venture for the credit card, and Charles Schwab for the debit card (gotta get those ATM fees back). Additionally, I'll keep another credit card in my carry on luggage. Usually the Amazon card pulls that duty again.

Nice! Yeah, once you go minimalist, it's hard to go back. I used to have a massive wallet as well, and after I started having back issues, my doctor recommended carrying my wallet in another pocket. Not only is it more comfortable, but also more secure too. 😊

I like that the wallet is leather and how it looks over time. I did buy a thin RFID wallet awhile back and I love it. My only complaint is that it reduces the Bluetooth signal of my Tile tracker lol. I know that the wallet works.

Yeah, I’ve got a Tile in my wallet, so definitely wouldn’t want RFID to block it either. 😄

Luckly I dont need to carry that many cards, max of 3. My main problem is i normally fill up my purse with receipts after shopping. I like to know and keep track of what i have brought. So keep forgetting to removed them into a little bag or something inside my case.

Yeah, those receipts can definitely add to the clutter! 😄

Trip Astute you do classic videos. when you say minimalist traveler do you mean a sales person Capitol1 venture card, Chase Sapphire Preferred Citi Thank you premiers Barclay's arrival card? or do you mean Vice Presidents 1 or 2 business trips and 2 conventions Capitol1 Venture1 , Citi Thank you Preferred , Chase Sapphire Basic or do you mean travelers that travel 24 weeks Chase Sapphire Reserve , American Express Gold and Platinum open credit cards.? That cash looks beautiful are those Pescos from Mexico? I like both cash and credit cards Travelers Checks are very cool too? Which wallet do you use when traveling in the US? when you do go abroad and let's say your at a sit down restaurant which accepts tips how much do you know how to leave a tip without a tip chart didn't see it in your wallet? I would be very happy to answer your classic question So in 2014 when me and my cousin were in London and October 2018 when we were in Ireland I took a little bit of cash My debit card 2 credit cards my Discover and My Capitol1 Venture1 card I left my American Express basic blue cash card home. the cards that you leave in the safe do any of them have foreign trans action fees? do you have a favorite credit card that has foreign trans action fees that you actually have that you bring abroad? For classic cards American Express Green card open credit card, Chase Sapphire basic revolvers , Delta Sky miles down graded from the Gold would you take these cards abroad? I would.

Thanks Mark! I think by "minimalist", I mean just trying to pack lightly and carrying only the essentials. Not necessarily a specific card either. The cash that I used in the video was from Vietnam. I had a bit of leftover currency from when I traveled there, and I like their notes. They also use plastic bills which I like. For travel in the US, I usually use my daily wallet. Lately, I've been alternating between my Nodus Compact Coin and Bellroy Card Pocket wallet. Both are great wallets for my needs! Tips are hard to calculate when traveling, especially since it tends to be so different in other countries. For the most places that I've visited, tipping is much less than it is in the US. For example, I'm traveling in the UK right now, so I might leave some change or 1-2 GBPs at most if the service is good (but there isn't an expectation like in the US). For the US, I usually just calculate 10% of the total bill and double it as the tip (approx. 20%). In terms of cards that I bring, I usually only bring ones without any foreign transaction fees. Lately, that's usually the Chase Sapphire Reserve. I also packed my Chase United MileagePlus Explorer Visa and AMEX Gold, but they are staying in the room.
