Physical proximity: some countries don’t understand personal space. Sneezing: nobody sneezes in their elbows. Just let it out in your face. Or picking their noses. Restaurant wait time : many countries don’t care about alerting the customer about the dish taking 30 minutes and they let you sit there wondering what’s going on. Honking the horn: the US is great about that but many countries have it as standard driving procedure. In Lesotho, the honk is constantly being pressed by cabs to signal they can take you. Incessant horn honking from sunrise to sunset

Sorry. I would rather travel by myself. I do not want to be tied down to a very strict schedule. I don't want to get up at 6 o'clock in the morning. have my bags out by a certain time if the whole group is checking out of the hotel. Rush to eat breakfast, and be on the bus by a certain time. I don't want to share a hotel room with a total stranger. I don't want to hear any fighting and arguing among the tour members. And if I want to get up at 6 o'clock in the morning, I'll stay at home instead. In fact, on some of these European tours that start in London, you have to get up at quarter after 4 in the morning. They give you a boxed breakfast. And you have to leave the hotel at 5:30 to head to Dover to catch the hovercraft over to Calais in France. Then from Calais, you head to your first stop on the European continent. Now if you're taking the Eurostar from London over to, let's say to either Paris, Brussels, or Amsterdam, I don't know how early you have to get up in the morning. Secondly, I also have limited mobility as well as difficulty walking. The Americans With Disabilities Act does not apply outside of the United States. There's a lot of walking on escorted tours; especially in Europe; where you'll be going into centuries-old churches, palaces, and other buildings. And I wouldn't be able to keep up with group either. Thirdly, two nights in the major cities, whether it be here in the U.S or not, is not enough time to see and do what you want to do there. Depending on the city that you go to, you need decide how many nights that you'll need there to see and do everything. And you can do it on your own time; and not somebody else's time. I would rather pay more money and travel by myself then travel with a bunch of total strangers. I enjoy traveling by myself. I like my privacy. I like to come and go as I please, and not be tied down to a set schedule. Oh and another: since I'm a Catholic, I have to go Mass on Sundays (or to the Saturday Evening Vigil Mass to fulfill my Sunday Mass Obligation). If I was on a group tour, I wouldn't be able to go Mass, and this is important to me. I may be on vacation, but it's no vacation from God.

This is a betrayal against Humanity. They are getting all your information - including MEDICAL - which is a Violation of the Medical Privacy Act. This is all about CONTROL, and nothing else. And here you are "helping" Americans get something that will allow evil people in high places give up all their Private and Personal information. You're a TRAITOR.

The reason plugs have three pins is because we have an earth as well as live and neutral. The purpose of that is to prevent unnecessary deaths from electrocution. Check out the statistics. Makes sense to me.

Thankful for your helpful information. I am looking for a way to listen to foreign radios stations and have them translate into English. I would like this to be speech to voice real time. I am willing to use two devices one to broadcast the radio statio the second to listen to the translation. Is there a way to do this with Google.

Thank you so much for your video regarding converters and adapters. I was extremely informative and helpful, as I will be traveling to Europe very soon. The converter/adapters you recommended on Amazon are no longer available. Can you please recommend another that is the same? I don't want to purchase the wrong one, and there are so many. Thank you!!!
@TripAstute
@TripAstute 2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Honestly, any similar adapter should work. If you are buying a converter, then I suggest checking the reviews to be safe. Though to be honest, I find that adapters should cover most people's needs when traveling (i.e., most electronic devices can handle the voltage without requiring any conversion). Hope you have a wonderful trip to Europe! 😎

I’ve done both. It really does depend on you and where you want to go. Yes, going with a group you have company and it’s all taken care of, but if the group sucks, you’re in for a long trip. Traveling solo is good if you have points to use or if you want to just hub and spoke it. You could also compromise and do a little bit of both. Do your own thing before a group tour or stay behind and then start on your own. That way you get the best of both worlds.
@TripAstute

That's a good tip. I usually travel solo for a few days before and/or after my group travel so I get a taste of both. 👍

Is it possible to enroll/interview for global entry while coming into the US from Canada via a road trip and not by flight?
@TripAstute
@TripAstute 2 ай бұрын
It’s a good question. I don’t think so since the enrollment center is based inside the airports, so it’s meant capture participants as they return from their trips via flights.

Save your $ & extra wait time in the TSA Clear Plus lines. Used to be okay. I fly 30-40xs/yr & now skip the line I paid extra $$ for b/c TSA Pre line is faster, shorter, or non-existent at airports like Austin, Denver, Atlanta, etc. I've tried to contact Clear to lodge a complaint, but they are completely opaque.

Do you need a passport card for flying Domestically Within the US?
@TripAstute
@TripAstute 2 ай бұрын
No, you only need an ID that is considered a "REAL ID" (e.g., most driver's licenses, federal IDs, etc.). If you want to travel internationally, then you need a passport book. The passport card is REAL ID compliant (for domestic travel), but it really is only used for specific border crossings (e.g., crossing from the US into Mexico or Canada, crossing via certain ports, etc.).
