As a kid growing up I never listened to Little Feat. When I was a junior in HS I listened to Rollin Virginia album and was blown away. It was one of my buddies older brothers album and we went through his collection and this was one of the albums we grabbed to listen to. The one song that stood out on that album was Don’t Bogart that Joint. Thanks for the upload TMS.

Waiting for Columbus ..one of the best live albums by any band, in any time. It's the only album that I've owned in LP, cassette, CD, and now digital download. If I had ever owned an 8-track or reel-to-reel, I would have bought Waiting for Columbus in those formats as well! 🍅

Bonnie Raitt had a quote about it, something like “I miss Little Feat like I miss being 9 years old.” Spot on, Bonnie! Also, I heard the opening chord to Willin at the very end. It’s coming :-)

Best moment. Bill Payne's piano break veers totally off course into Charles Ives abstract territory. He throws a glare at Lowell in defiance. The best bands used tensión like this to raise the performance level

Good boogie! Quite a unique band, for sure. I wish I'd been familiar with them when I saw them in the late '80s. Who knows if the lineup was the same, but I didn’t appreciate them like I do after seeing this show. 😎💜

Hi. Lowell George, the lead singer and slide guitarist, when he passed away in 1979 was no longer in the band, but I believe that in 1980 all the other members were. There are some videos of them, I particularly like a show at the Rainbow Theater in London, which is available here on You Tube. There is also one in Germany, at the Rock Palast. The image of this one is better but the energy of the show in England I think is cooler.

@delmedeiros3570 Hi Del. Thanks, I appreciate the information. I saw them in CA, can't remember the venue name which has likely changed since then, but they opened for War, and unfortunately, I was disappointed in War, too, that night. ✌️

In the late eighties Craig Fuller had joined the band. He was with them for about ten years I believe. So you likely saw him in the band. He was formerly with Pure Prairie League (wrote and sang their song Amie) and was a nice addition on vocals and guitar.

@@StephanieJeanne Well, you can imagine that I've never seen them live, and it's true haha. Music is a global phenomenon, everyone from all over the world has access to it in some way. I'm from Brazil and I remember seeing an article in a German magazine called Pop, with several bands that were in a project. Tower of Power, Baker Gurvitz Army, Jess Roden Band, Little Feat... and photos of these bands. Soon after I found their double live album, Waiting For Columbus. It's a shame this day wasn't so good for you ✌️

@@bradsense7431 Yes. All your other training is cool. There's one from the 90s with a singer... there's a video concert in Germany with this lineup that's really cool. They're still there today... I'm a huge Bill Payne fan. What a badass keyboard player.
