I really love the greenery in Binkolo. It’s very rear in Sierra Leone today. All the trees has been cut off to build houses. Thumbs up for Binkolo and the Paramount Chief P.C. Alimamy Dura for preserving the trees.

I attended both primary and secondary schools from class five to form three , I spent six years of my life in that town with my grandma by name of Yanoh Yonktha in that town, but she passed away 😭😭😭😭. Formal Mammie Queen. I know every single location in this video,you made my day, Thank you so much for letting people into my home town through your documentary. Keep up the good work. My grandfather's home town. He was the oldest person alive from Binkolo but passed away last year.

Agriculture is the basic source of income in the Binkolo. Except for the future findings, but for now no known natural resources under ground has discovered. We are proud of large production of ground nut, palm oil, and a tuber crop we call "chinese" to name but few. We are proud, though we need more infrastructural development and other basic social amenities to optimize the standard of living 👏 🥰

Just hearing the name Binkolo makes me blush, I grew up with lots of limba’s, Fullah’s and Temme’s That is how I know to speak all those languages been a city girl from the western area, We are all still sisters and brothers my mom will say my Limba sisters only Saidu, and Abubakkar were males, they all names their kids after my mother, if the child is a girl. One of their daughters we call limba Adjaie. And we all drink palm wine because of Salay father pa saidu, back then they will call it poyo , and the lady will sell it by cup, Salay will always say give us the fresh one not the one you have mix.

Used to walk to binkolo from makeni to be there when js momoh and his huge entourage was there. Was hoping to see that mighty house on a hill top which was swamped by humans anytime the former president was there. Was in binkolo I saw original limba beds that were built from the floor of every room. They said to me it was originality of the limba man. They were cement/clay beds and only to deposit the mattress in the space. Happy dreams

Triple A, Luma is only used in Temne areas, other ethnic groups have their own name for Luma. There is one in Korigbondo junction in the south, but it is not call Luma.

The Limba people kill the palm trees through their palm wine tapping habits. This makes them anti SLPP when you consider that the symbol of the SLPP is the Green palm tree.
