Fantastic! Absolutely amazing. I was at the ELR this Easter for the 50th birthday celebration with 55022 and D9016 and I thought "THAT" was a treat. Well done mate, excellent editing and boy I envy you :)

This was 55015's last run before it went in for overhaul. I wish they'd bring it back out in Finsbury Park White Cab scheme like it has here

There are only two preserved deltics that have not yet been to the East Lancashire Railway 55009 (D9009) and the DELTIC prototype

In order for this to work properly there must be some kind of synchronisation system so all 3 locos are running at precisely the same speed otherwise they would pull each other apart or create resistance between each other.Were they built to allow for multiple operation?
@GarethT9028 жыл бұрын
No all three loco's were independently crewed

Always thought these were more about the show than the go......lots of noise and exhaust fumes but very slow to get going. Ok once up to speed.

I disagree to have these once powerful locomotives humbled about on these preserved railways . To have them paraded around in bizarre scenarios takes away the true elegance and prowess they once sported. I'd prefer to view them static at railway type museums then one could reminisce back to how they once performed.
