I'm so happy for the first couple. I wish them nothing but peace and happiness. Addiction is hard and it took my mother away from me 4 days after my 19th birthday and 2 days before my 2nd oldest brother 27th birthday over a year ago. She was only 45. Please continue to get help so your kids don't get to say the same. I'll be rooting for you guys! Remember recovery isn't linear so if you do slip up just keep going it'll all be okay and it's normal. Life is hard.

2nd Case: The identical faces of of the father-daughter duo aside, annoyingly, everyone wants to see their mom through rose-colored glasses, but the big sister wasn't making their mom "look bad." Only the mom was responsible for what mom did. If there'd been no intimacy between the mom and the man, the man wouldn't have reached out when he read about his daughter in the paper. If the younger sister has 2 working eyes, she had to know that the big sis looks WAY more like the man in court.

Hurt people hurt, trust me I know from experience (I know someone in a similar case), she was just hurt, sensitive, and scared. Whether that's because she lost her mother at such a young age and she doesn't want to accept something negative about her mother, or whether she was scared the family would split and she would lose her sister, or whatever the case may be. But it most definitely came from a place of fear and love.

@@BlazericanHippie I disagree because the mother should have been truthful about her daughter’s father no matter what happened. The sister should have been supportive towards her sister and tried to understand. The oldest sister was on drugs and homeless that was a driving tool for the younger sister. Parents need to stop telling lies. There’s no reason a person should try to understand what another person feels about finding the truth. I know people that don’t know their fathers, and most of the time parents show it towards the child. Remember, the mother told her daughter a lie and said her dad was dead. Just tell the truth! I think the real issue Ms Spencer had in the second case was having to face the fact that her mother would lie to either or both of them, which parents sometimes do. I can get holding their long departed mother in such high regard and love but she was also still a human and humans make mistakes or can be messy and can lie too so this whole 'defamation' claim was foolish to begin with.

In all honesty she didn't know anything about her mother and her mother passed when she was like 78 years old so she can't say what her mother was or was not doing a 78-year old if your mother is doing what she needs to do for her child then she's not going to have her see the things that she's doing cuz she's a child no child needs to know that you know the other sisters like 17 years old so she's going to no more she's going no more about the secrets I was going on she's going see things that she wasn't supposed to see going on in hide that from the younger sister when she did you know like you not going to be like oh Mommy was with this guy and he's our dad but you don't know who your mom is because you was eight when she died I'm sorry and your sister is correct because your mom was twenty when she was doing her dirt like younger sister you wasn't born you wasn't alive you wasn't there like your older sister said she was in her 20s she had every right to have fun and we will she wanted to be at that age you have fun and then what you want to do at your age you upset that I got two different daddies or somethingif your oldest is not upset about it why are you like let's be real like deadass I need understand

I think her big sister being her only sibling she felt she would have been left out seeing that the elder sister would gain 14 siblings who have loved her for years plus a living parent. Case 2: The little sister needs to realize that every human has an inherent right to know who their parents are, & that right exists independently of the unflattering things that she THINKS a PC test insinuates about her mom. A defamation case can only prevail if the claimant can prove that the thing being said was an intentional lie intended to cause harm & that some harm resulted from the lie. Well, it wasn't a lie that the suspected father had slept with the mom, and the only "harm" that the little sister suffered is to her perception of her deceased mother. That's not a LEGALLY recognized harm. None of the elements of defamation are present here.

@@yupitsme9713 Lol. I'm certain it's the latter. Folks confidently and incorrectly toss around legally terms they've heard through the grapevine, and it's always amusing to me. Even if the man were NOT the father, defamation wouldn't remotely apply to an issue like this.

Look at how Lauryn Lake from Detroit addresses her addiction litigants vs how Judge Mathis from Detroit addresses his addiction litigants. I say from Detroit because Judge Mathis thinks being from Detroit makes him an addict expert.....where is doesn't. And calling them crackheads doesn't work. He needs to take a page from Judge Lake's book.

@@candancebailey9095 - Mathis was a small time criminal but he was never an addict. He went to jail for illegally carrying a firearm when he was 17. He changed his life around when he got out. If he were an addict he´d have more understanding for recovering addicts. Calling them crackheads and insulting them, his number one tactic, doesn´t work.

2nd case, God bless that man. He was so happy. Saying Glory when he found out he was her father. Idk how she couldn't tell anyways. She looks just like that man lol. Baby sister simply was not ready to accept the fact that the image of her mother she has clung to since she was seven years old isn't as perfect as she thought. And she will have to forgive her mother for it eventually. She has some maturing to do. They were not trying to defame her. She doesn't want to hear the truth. The truth may have hurt her, but she needs to think about her sister too. That man has 15 kids now though lol. My goodness lol

That Sister...smh...she wanted to drive the Bus from every seat on it. She was even the Judge. "I'M here to defend my Mother!" Our Parent's were all young, foolish people at one time. The wisdom they possess was earned the hard way in most cases. She had righteous indignation on every single point of view, but not one ounce of compassion.

That 2nd case triggered me because it reminded me of my own life. When I was born, my mom was married to a man older than my grandmother. And by all accounts, he was abusive to her and sleeping with other women, including her family members. But he died when I was 2-years-old so I never knew him. I remember early on that my mom had a boyfriend who would come stay on the weekend sometimes. When I got school age, one of his kids told me that I was his sister. Then others of them started telling me the same thing. I can also remember going to his mother’s house because she lived very close to my aunt (my mom’s sister) and whenever she knew I was there, she would send for me. She’d ask me what her name was and I’d call her Miss Mary and she’d give me money. It wasn’t until I got older and wiser, I realized she wanted me to call her Grandma. Throughout the years I would get mad when his children called me their sister. I’d seen a few pictures of my mom’s husband holding me as a baby and how doting he seemed to be. It wasn’t until I got to high school when I asked my mom point blank was the other man my dad because I didn’t like being referred to as someone’s outside child. The man would tell me he was my dad and he was very good to me and my other siblings too. My sister closest in age to me ( 9 years apart) hated him though and to this day resents any of his children calling me their sister. The only thing my mom told me was that they (he and his children) all loved me very much and to never hurt their feelings. So I didn’t. Different people have said I look like different ones of his children, but when I look in the mirror, I just see my mom. She’s been dead 22 years now and the man gone 19. His wife even listed me on his obituary as his daughter . In my heart, I believe he was my dad. And even if he wasn’t, he was the only one I knew. I’m grateful for my mom, nonetheless, because she was a MOTHER. She worked hard to raise us and NEVER got on public assistance. When she died, my dad came by my house one day and I told him that my mom once told me how much she loved him since they were kids (even though she broke things off with him when my grandma died. I was 13). He told me she was the only woman he’d ever really loved. It’s sad to think that choices were made before my mom was adult enough to make them, that forced her life upon another path that led both of them to marry other people. But I have so many people who genuinely love me and who have been there for me. I recently lost my husband and ALL of my siblings have been there. To God I’m grateful. Many people don’t have anyone to love or care about them. Those kids could’ve resented me, but instead they embraced me. None of us had anything to do with the circumstances that made us blood related. I’m just glad we are.
