I have 6 sons I would not let my grown sons to behave like that. If they acted like that I'd have to knock them out and I don't even spank my children. it's an amazing thing I've seen with men and women. The women can hate their baby daddy but that baby that is 50% of that guy...gets unconditional love. The guy can give you flowers or presents or money, and you resent him enough to throw those things away. but that baby that is a constant daily reminder of the guy you hate, is something you would love and protect and die for. Same for the men, when they don't think the baby is theirs they don't make even a small effort. But when they know it's theirs, there comes some kind of sudden emotional connection and expression of verbal love.

The boy is still a boy, but that 27 year old girl is also still a girl. Boys grow up so much slower than girls. She has to learn that boys will say so many sweet things to a naive girl and if that girl has the mentality of a 18 year old, she will believe any boy who knows the words to say.
