You are the biggest inspiration. I was told earlier this month that my lump was triple negative and that the next step was chemo therapy. It is devastating news. I was so depressed and helpless... but then I found your first video and you completely changed my view! I started feeling like I wasn’t alone and stopped thinking “why me? I’m so young, this isn’t fair” I got so excited to have fun hair that I went on amazon and bought two really fun wigs! I seriously can’t ever thank you enough for sharing your story. You helped me so much. I start chemo on sept 3rd but I know I’ll get through it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Kristina Bendel what a really lovely message to receive - that’s made my year 😁 I’m not going to lie and say it’s easy - it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. And you will have your dark days, days where you’ve just had enough of test and hospitals and being bald and sick. But amongst all the crap, I still tried to live my life as best I could. I still went to the pub, out for dinner, saw friends, went away. Chemo goes in cycles - you feel crap for a week, then you’re susceptible to infection for a week, then you have a good week of feeling back to normal. Make the most of your good week - I always got my nails done that week as my little treat for making it through. Best of luck with your chemo darlin. You’ll smash it xxxx

Yvette Dunn hi 👋🏻 thank you for your comment. Best of luck to your niece - from experience it’s almost harder watching someone you love go through it than it is being the patient - prepare to feel useless and out of control. I hated watching my momma going through chemo. Your niece will have good days and bad - just be there to celebrate the good days and cheer her up on the bad. Best of luck to you all 💕💕

Great seeing you again . I saw photos of your trip to Canada via IG . I’m Canadian and have never been out West . I’m approaching my 2 years Since Dx Feb 22 2018 . My journey is a lot like yours. TNBC Stage 2A , negative nodes , had chemo before DMX and reconstruction, achieved PCR . No radiation. I had my exchange surgery in June and later on will probably have some fat grafting done just to make the implants look more natural . I also have a son and am Brca1. My mom died many years ago . Good news though my 2 other sisters tested negative . Our stories are strangely similar except that I’m 52 and will be undergoing a full preventative hysterectomy in October . It’s hard living with that dark cloud . I have my moments . Any tips on how you deal with the anxiety? I worry about my son as well . Hope we both reach that 5 year mark . Your hair looks great . I’m keeping mine short .

I have 5 chemo out of 8 finished. 4 A/C and 4 Taxol. I will be finished mid-July. Trying to hang in there tho. Taxol is kicking my butt. Survived A/C with just stomach issues. I can't wait until a year from now when I have my hair back and I look normal again. A new normal. I have triple negative. Surgery in mid-August with no reconstruction.

Geo Garcia the Red Devil!! It still makes me feel sick when I think of those huge red syringes 🤮🤮 I wish you all the luck in the world. Drink lots and lots of coconut water to keep your white blood count high (that was a tip from my chemo nurse). And please stay safe with this virus around xx

Hi, I had radiation treatment last year for 8 weeks. Everyone is different, so it is hard to say what will happen. I found that the hardest part was just that it was daily. The treatment itself didn't hurt at all. The people doing the treatment were amazing and they played music during the treatment. My advice is to treat yourself to something special each day while you go through treatment. Remember what a good thing you are doing for yourself by getting radiation. It will all be over before you know it. Best wishes!

@@gettingwiggywithit3500 Hi Nikki I just watched another one of your videos and realised that you dont like to talk about your diet, no problem, my focus as a person currently hoing through Chemotherapy is how to regain strength Ive seen a few people who talk about being week even after treatment, so I was just wondering if you have any tips on strength building post treatment. Sorry if I offended you in any way, not my imtention thank you
@gettingwiggywithit3500
@gettingwiggywithit3500 4 жыл бұрын
Angie Ruiz not at all. 😘😘 I don’t talk about diet only because I made no changes during or after chemo. I ate what I felt like eating, although I tend to eat quite “clean” anyway. The one thing that helped me was eating quite a bit of protein - lots of beans, pulses, nuts and Icelandic yogurt (high in protein- low in fat!) But during chemo my taste went funny, so I often craved salty foods. I just ate what my body told me it needed xxx
What to NOT say to a cancer patient/survivor (and what you should say/do!!)
