Job well done on all three pliers! After watching you restore the US Army Lineman’s plier kit, I had to get one. I found one on eBay for a fair price and decent condition! Both the TL-29 and TL-13 were marked Utica Cutlery, and the pliers were stamped 1950. Both turned out pretty good. The leather needed some oil, I polished the brass snaps and copper rivets, waxed the wood scales on the TL-29, and gave the pliers a coat of wax too. The leather sheath was stamped “US Army Signal Corps.” I brought the whole kit into my job and showed it to one of our best customers and dear friends. He’s a Vietnam vet who served with the signal corp, and he really lit up when he saw and handled them. It made my day. : ) Cheers!

Scoutcrafter, here's my challenge to you! Revisit the Plumb Linesman Pliers and grind down the surfaces in front of the cutting section. This will allow you to have the cutters to meet and eliminate the air gaps. I would STRONGLY suggest NOT using a motorized Dremel, but use a series of Emery Papers glued to a wood stick that would be much more controllable as you want to keep them perfectly flat. Yes - you can get the cutters to mate once agin - not every restoration has to be done in one shot - I KNOW you are capable - give it a shot! I'd love to see you take my challenge! As our new President say's...... C'mon Man!!! lol!!

Wednesday is more difficult as an Old English translation of Oden's day or Wodnesdag. Whereas the rest are not to far off from their Germanic/Latin origin. As for finger size, do you remember the Chicago football player Refrigerator Perry? I tried on his Super Bowl ring before it left the factory. If I remember right it was a size 24, about the size of a half dollar. Back then I wore a size day which is an average man's ring size. I could put three fingers in it.
