ORIGINAL OWNER HERE: Thanks for the kind words, Anthony. My father and I drove it to our respective summer homes (all highway) on the weekends for 30 yrs - NEVER daily driven. The painted qtr panel will always remain a mystery; Pops and I suspect it happened at Harvey Cadillac before we picked it up...but we'll never really know.

That's when a Cadillac was a Cadillac. My grandparents had a 1991 d Elegance. You can tell this car was really loved. I have great memories of my grandparents when I was little.

I am amazed how well kept this cars is and how little rust it has. It must have had great owners throughout, who loved and cared for this car. It shows.

I bought a set of those wires about 5 years ago and all the clear coat was peeling and cracking off. I used a stripper and let it sit and just rinsed it off. After two waves of that, it was back down to the original chrome and looked amazing. I was nervous doing it but I got some advice from people on the Cadillac FB pages. It works!

Same here. It hurts me not to buy it, but it would hurt me even more having to keep it outside. But things always change. So who knows. Maybe some day. By the way, I once had a 1984 Coupe De Ville. With the infamous 4.1, which with some preventive repairs and being easy on it, never gave me problems.

I love that car! The way it's equipped with all of toys reminds me of that older Brougham you and Papa Bear fixed up with the front-end damage. The temptation would be too much, not to drive it. Competition Cars had 1979 Town Car in the exact same color combo with 3,700 original miles that sold for $66,000 on Bring a Trailer.

They took off every panel and worked them under a black light reveal imperfections from original stamping, too. I have pics of the car pre/post hail damage somewhere. I still can't believe they saved the paint. I recall the bill was between $10-15k - fully covered by insurance. Thankfully I had classic car insurance.

I love this...i love your cars and videos...this looks still so much like my Bapa's (maternal grandfather's) light yellow one with LOL..cool avacado interior then,,,bought it,,,his last one..(he got new one every two years a trade in retirement only ) 6 months before passing in 1980..probably many differences you know (and now you just shared info about injection engine differences as I type) and just great videos that thrill me, a girl, a not really knowledgeable car girl....and I know my grandfather is on my shoulder...apprecialting that finally at almost 65....a big American car like you sell is what I want next...with a cd player...that I will garage. Whatever I end up getting will be one of 2 daily drivers for the seasons, but I do not drive every day now...and this and winter one will only be my 4th and 5th car newer 4 wheel drive type for winter,,,.first one at 19....current one 26 years old and only used one I bought and in early years had it gone over totally and it was in a storm before purchased and while an old 97 Dodge,,,has matching chip in the window from inside and a brief case toss of a guy...lol!!

Does most people know what a Brougham really is well let me educate you over in Saudi Arabia and some other locations around the world A Brougham is a Sedan Chair it’s like a portable thrown a comfy semi private little Cabanna on a frame with a long rail on each side and your power is two big Muscle guys 1 on each end to transport you where you want to go

1985-93 DeVilles were downsized, bland, and just don’t present like classic cars worth preserving. 1981-84 DeVilles had notorious engine issues. You really have to go back to 1980 and before to find one with both the classic styling and a low-maintenance engine. Although, I do think the 1994-99 DeVille body styles were quite handsome, and that the earlier non-Northstar ones are very underappreciated.
