Appreciate the description on setup and calls. I'm new to this style of hunting and I'm trying to learn all I can. Subbed and waiting on your next upload. 🤙

Thanks for checking it out! Some guys just like non stop kill shots, but I learned from videos like this explaining the thermals, the setup, the calls, etc… I really appreciate the feedback! Have a few other hunts on the channel if you want to check those out too. I’ll try and get out again soon!

Never would have given it a shot if you hadn’t mentioned that specific call just a couple hours earlier 🤣

How do you manage the volume when you call? Do you start off low and get progressively louder until something comes out? How loud is too loud?

I start off for a couple min fairly quiet in case there is something fairly close. Don’t want to scare it off. I progressively work my way up on volume. Some of these I was at full volume.

I think if you’re in thicker cover and there is no wind, you wouldn’t want to call too loudly. If it’s wide open pasture and the wind is up, crank that volume and see what happens. Always start lower volume though. Like I said if there is something closer and you blair the call first thing, it’ll probably scare them out.

A lot of newbies don’t have a clue what’s going on just by watching some thermal footage. Commentary was a little repetitive after that first stand. I like to break down what was going on, how I was setup, why I used certain calls, and how the critters respond to them. Thanks for checking out the video!
