I have some things to say 1st: tripleS system is different from NCT, cause unlike NCT, tripleS don't have any fix sub-unit. The reason why they got THAT MANY SUBUNITS, its cause the sub-units are rotative, and they kinda work like Comeback and Debut to some members. Fans most of the time, vote for the lineups, and no one is left out, cause they always split into 2 subunits with equal amount of members. For example, AAA and +(KR)E both have 4 members, and LOVElution and EVOLution each have 8 members. 2nd: the full tripleS project contains 24 members. At the time they released that New Look performance, they were 16 members (you said 18). They also released an OT16 performance for Rising, which is their debut with the first 10 members of the group. Interestingly enough, the oficial audios from both Rising and New Look are different from the performance videos. Not only because they added lines to all the members (except for Xinyu and Mayu on New Look), but because they removed almost ALL adlibs from New Look (which could have been Xinyu (S15) and Mayu (S16) lines 😭). Also, the mixing is a bit weird on both these performance videos... so i highly recomend you to listen to the original versions from the ASSEMBLE album. 3rd: NXT stands for... NEXT. They were an exclusive sub-unit for reveal 4 more girls. Usually, tripleS reveal girls 1 by 1, and they're often refered as "S". So basically tripleS started their OT20 era there. Also, i see you were interested on Just Do It production, and i recommend you to listen to their newest album, that have the oficial instrumental versions for almost all of their songs, including Just Do It. Would be better for you to listen it carefully and focus on the elements of the song. There's a bunch of things that i didn't picked up from first listen. 4th: Touch+ is named like that, because of the additional little rap part by Sohyun (S14). She isn't part of +(KR)ystal Eyes, that's why she wasn't dancing with them. She is multi-talented and also produced some songs for their company artists. In +(KR)E, she is credited on "Deja-Vu", on ODD EYE CIRCLE (ARTMS), she is credited on "Je Ne Sais Quoi", in LOVElution, the unit she makes part of, she is credited on "Black Soul Dress", on EVOLution, she is credited on "Moto Princess", and she is also credited on Heejin's (which is a former LOONA member, and a current ARTMS member) solo album , with lyrics for the song "Nokia". And 5th and last thing: We're close to have a Title Track gravity event soon! They revealed on their most recent concert, that they're coming with a new FULL GROUP comeback, with an album called "ASSEMBLE24". The comeback might come late this year, but WAVs (fandom name), will vote for the title track this month. Same thing happened with their 1st OT10 comeback, we had a list of songs from A to H, and we spent days waiting for the DEMO snippets to come out, and vote. In the end, Song B (Rising) won. But we received Song E (Beam) and Song C (New Look) on their ASSEMBLE album as b-sides. Song A (Rhodanthe) and Song F (Invincible) later on returned in EVOLution. We also got Song G (Addiction) on HeeJin (ARTMS) solo album. SONG D and SONG H are currently unreleased, and maybe we'll never see them again, but who knows... they're really unpredictable.

Touch+ mv was a treat for fans cause during Krystal Eyes era their promotion was cut due to some issues so filming an Mv was a way Modhaus repay to fans. Also an addition surprise rap part by Sohyun was the reason the there is a + as ,Sohyun is not part of Krystal Eyes .

Ok, background info: as of right now, there are 20 members in tripleS and six subunits (seven if you count the OT10 album Assemble from exactly one year ago as its own unit). Pretty much every new release comes with an entirely new subunit with a new combination of members. Some girls have been in multiple subunits already. And existing subunits are usually not expected to release new music with the same combinations of members. The units so far are: 1. Acid Angel from Asia (Hyerin, Yooyeon, Nakyoung, Yubin) 2. +(KR)ystal Eyes (Seoyeon, Jiwoo, Chaeyeon, Soomin) 3. LOVElution (Seoyeon, Hyerin, Yubin, Kaede, Dahyun, Nien, Sohyun, Xinyu) 4. EVOLution (Jiwoo, Chaeyeon, Yooyeon, Soomin, Nakyoung, Kotone, Yeonji, Mayu) 5. NXT (Lynn, Joobin, Hayeon, Shion) 6. Aria (Jiwoo, Chaeyeon, Dahyun, Kaede, Nien) - The first two units AAA and KRE were created by equally splitting the at that time eight members up into two subunits. Decisions were made via fan voting. - AAA released first, and before KRE released their album, two new members had been added and the complete group released an album as ten members. That's the "unit" you saw in Rising. - LOVE and EVOL were created the same way. The 14 members at the time were split up into the two units via fan voting. Two additional members were added after the voting ended and they were sorted into one unit each by the company. - Touch+ is largely the same song as Touch, just with the addition of a short rap cameo from Sohyun who was the newest member of tripleS at the time. But KRE is a four member unit and Sohyun is not actually part of it. That's why she doesn't appear in the choreo or any part of the song outside of her 10 second cameo. - NXT debuted as a completely new unit with four completely new members all at once. Normally each member is introduced one at a time and we see them on the vlogs first before they join a unit. With NXT they just gave us four at once. - Aria is the ballad unit and was created a bit differently. Dahyun was the fixed member (main vocal of all of tripleS) and fans could vote between four or five randomly generated combinations of four additional members. The combination of Jiwoo, Chaeyeon, Kaede and Nien won. - New Look is from Assemble, the same album as Rising. The original studio version is with ten members. After EVOLution promotions were finished, another fan vote was held to decide on a song to receive a dance video with all 16 members. New Look was the winner of this vote. Here's an overview of the members and which units they're in. The S number refers to the order they joined the group. There are 16 in new look, the 4 from NXT are the 17th-20th members. Aria was a subunit name. NXT is also a subunit name that showed the 4 next girls to join. All previous member additions have been 1 at a time. Modhaus introduced 4 girls at once with NXT and that song just do it. There are 4 more girls yet to be introduced to the group. They will have 24 members total. No one knows who the last 4 will be if theyre known trainees or unknown.

I love the Aria sub-unit, the ballad group. But yeah Dahyun is the main vocalist out of all 24, she goes hard on those adlibs live aswell. Kaede is japanese, it's pronounced more like "Kai-deh" rather than the "katie with a D" most default to.

I dont know if you watch shows about groups but i would recommend Badge war of them there you can maybe get to know some of them more! Btw NXT are the members S17-20 they were not in New Look also the original new Look is on the Rising album with only 10 members so this is a new ver with the 16 members that were official before NXT. At the moment were at 20 members and in the end it will be 24!

Touch+ >> it is different from Touch because they added Sohyun (the fifth girl, also she’s not part of Krystal Eyes) to do the rap part in Touch+.. Touch don’t have a rap part. Door >> tripleS Aria is the first ballad sub-unit of tripleS. FYI, Dahyun have already three kdrama OSTs. Just Do It >> tripleS NXT was the unit called for the 17th to 20th member of tripleS (S17, S18, S19, S20). They are the newest members to join the group. And the company made them their own song “Just Do It”. New Look >> actually they are 16 members in this performance. tripleS NXT was not included. Here are ways to know tripleS more: 1. Watch their SIGNAL episodes from the beginning - best way to learn about them since you’ll experience the process how they were formed, their daily activities, and know their personalities. 2. Join their official Discord channel - a lot of information about their activities are posted regularly so you’ll be updated to what new sub-units are about to form and which members are in it. 3. tripleS subunits are not fixed meaning that they can have different combination of members in different units. All present members will be equally divided into units and release an album with that unit. Unlike NCT where they have fixed units and members in that unit. The tripleS subunit system is much more complex since their slogan is "The idol of all possibilities" and "We are one and also 24". They can literally do any combination of members depending on what combination the fandom wants through voting in their app. With this said, Members will have equal opportunities in being placed in a unit. When there were just 8 members revealed, they made 2 subunits (AAA, and KRE) with 4 members each When 16 members were revealed, they also made 2 subunits (LOVElution and EVOLution) with 8 members each Aria is a special unit for ballad. I don't consider it same as the 4 subunits above since it's just a special subunit and it didn't have a official mini album like the other 4 units. NXT is also a special unit with all the NEXT 4 new member to be added in tripleS S17 to S20. They only released a performance video to show the next members. now that they have 20 members, they announced another full group comeback/debut. It is called ASSEMBLE24. It is just announced that it will be an OT24 album which means that 4 new members will be added to the group before the release of this album which will now complete the group and kick off this year with the biggest group debut literally. I hope you'll tune in to that too! The fandom will start another voting for this album starting today (feb 15) and which ever song will win, it will be the title track for ASSEMBLE24. I hope you can react to the songs that will be teased later and tell us what you think of the songs Oh and the best way to get into the group is to watch they Signal content here in KZbin. You can seach "tripleS Signal Chronological order" and you can see a playlist there with 640+ videos but if you it out later, it will be more for sure. Since this is their daily content and everyday they add a new video in this playlist. This is why we are the most well fed fandom. Ever since the first member is announced and revealed in May 2022 they already started this Signal journey daily. For example, that Aria is a subunit not a solo and why Touch+ has 5 members in the mv...as well as how many memebers are currently active and in which sububits.
