I agree with a lot of what you're saying, however, at the other end of the spectrum, I would caution people to be wary of someone who appears to moving "too fast" in a relationship or faster than you're comfortable with. If someone is talking about moving in together or telling you that you're the love their life and you've only known them for two weeks or a month, something's not right. We all like having our egos stroked and the thought of this person being so into you, so quickly, might seem very flattering and cause you to let your guard down, when, in fact, you should be doing just the opposite. If you indicate to them that you want to slow things down and they're okay with it and want to continue seeing you, that person is probably a keeper. If they get offended and/or persist in giving you the rush treatment, run like hell.

I have a friend who is touch and go. He and I used to mess around or whatever, then we were just cool. He’ll invite me to his place or he’ll hit me up here and there. The craziest thing is that sometimes he’d hit me up, then won’t respond after I respond. Sometimes he’ll keep constant communication, then vanish. Sometimes I don’t hit him up purposefully to see if he’ll text, then sometimes he doesn’t.
