kmg501 Well worth it I think. What did you end up buying?
@kmg5015 жыл бұрын
I've bought nothing as of yet except for an electric unicycle which has yet to arrive. I live in NYC and so I'm faced with numerous complications that have put replacing the current bike (Suzuki S40) on hold. Big problem here is parking, even for a motorcycle. Park in the street and invariably someone will knock the bike over and take no responsibility for damages. That has happened five times already and also people feel like since the bike is small that they can physically move it if they don't like it's position. Little do they realize that if I catch them doing this there is going to be some real world pain involved on their part. The damages have already cost me several thousand dollars. So for these reasons and others I had to put the purchase on hold as much as I would love to go to the local store tomorrow and order the bike. As you can see however from lurking these videos that I would like to get the bike. Oh well, first world problems I guess. ;-)

Personally I think you’ll outgrow the Rebel 500 quickly. Vulcan 500 is old technology with no ABS brakes.Not real familiar with the S40 but I’ve heard good things about them. I’d find a good used Vulcan S 650 and jump on it.

Word of caution if you plan to add the lights along with the common engine/crash guards you can buy online. (The ones that extend up high) I found the lights would rub on the top of the guards when you turned the handlebar to the stops. The fix was to grind the metal fitting at the bottom of the lights flush (doesn't hurt anything) while also heating up the main light frame and bending the arms up just a bit. Remove the wires before heating up the metal. The lights really make a difference at night.
