2021 UPDATE: The Boeing 747 is no longer part of British Airways' fleet. The Business Class seats seen in this video are still in use on some of their Boeing 777s, Boeing 787s and Airbus A380s. However, BA has introduced a new type of seat which is being rolled out across the long-haul fleet at the moment and can already be found on newly-delivered aircraft such as their A350-1000s. To see what they are like, please refer to fellow air travel blogger DENNIS BUNNIK's video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/raelo6eOiNqYhas

British Airways is one of the few airlines which won't give up the 747s (That's a good thing), but it doesn't have its classic livery anymore with the corner of the British flag on the tail. Lufthansa still has 747s also, but they still have their old livery. American airlines (as we saw a number of when arriving in Philly) has new livery, and I like their present livery one better than their old one. But British Airways, I like the old one better, sorry. BA has a nice first class now though, as seen in this video

Here is what i love about flying. I love to do that so much. I don't know why i feel so happy when i do these things. Going to the airport, getting in the luggage line, passport control, entering the lounge if i can, going to the gate, sitting down to my seat, and take off. During these times i feel like i am in different world

WrongNumberZ yes but the 777 fleet is getting the same club suites as the A350. Most of the Gatwick fleet already have it and they’re working on the Heathrow fleet. Or at least they were but not sure if still are due to current events. The 787-10 will have the new seats too

The Boeing 747 was an amazing airplane. Shame they’ve been retired and are all being scrapped. I watched this show called Inside Mighty Machines and they were dismantling one of those flying beasts. They salvaged parts that could still function and eventually put them in other planes, including the engines. Then the rest of the plane was cut apart and sold for scrap

No!! Don't tell people about the B lounge! Those of us who use it want to keep it quiet. There must have been something wrong with your seat as they do fold flat. They're actually quite comfortable to sleep on and you have space to move your legs around without them being in a cubby hole, an issue with some other business class seats. They're also quite long which is good if you are tall, but the whole seat is quite narrow which isn't so good if you are not. A lot of people complain about having to step over others to get into some seats, but conversely the two in the middle are good if you are a couple. I've flown these plenty of times and compared with other airlines the whole experience is pretty average but it's better than being at the back (where I usually sit)
@gooner723 жыл бұрын

I've flown in this club configuration multiple times and there are 2 things that can get annoying. One is if you are against the window (or very middle) and you need to get out, you might have to climb over the foot rest of the seat next to you. It's no big deal if the foot rest is up, but if they are sleeping, it can be quite a big step to get over for vertically challenged people. Second is if you are sitting in an aisle seat, the flight attendant will sometimes lean over you to pass items to the other seat. Usually you can get a good whiff of what perfume/cologne and underarm deodorant odor they use. The club configuration in the new A350 is superior in layout compared to the current layout. Hope they can make the changes to the new layout throughout the fleet quickly.
@tomstravels5204 жыл бұрын
Sizzlemann they aren’t currently converting the Heathrow fleet of 777’s to this seat and the 787-10 will arrive with this too. The 747 won’t get it but eventually the other 787’s and A380 will (assuming they stay)
@NorthernUlvenKi4 жыл бұрын
What makes Simply Aviation better then other flight review channels? Well it’s the fact that they show all the different classes on airlines and not just business or first class. I’ve seen other channels that focus way too much on either business or first class and barely shows economy class. Again Noel from Inflight and Paul Lucas comes to mind. They’re good channels but I kinda got the feeling they’re mostly avoiding regular economy class because they don’t fancy it. I know Noel is quite tall so I’ll give him a pass because not all economy classes suits a tall person. Again good channels but not for me. I’ll probably stick to watch Simply Aviation.

I’ve only flown on BA long haul business once (LHR-MAD on a 777-200, was cheapest way) and thought it was ok but I can see what people are on about with how it looks outdated. To be honest when BA was a premium airline more people flew business class so this way they could still get 8 people in a row whereas now it’s a 1-2-1. A lot of airlines are ditching business class because the gap between modern business class and first isn’t big enough unless you fly Emirates or Singapore with those cabins
